Start by finding a comfortable position.
Come still,
Become silent and take three deep breaths.
Now notice the tops of the furthest tree or trees that you can see in the distance.
Notice how incredibly still that tree is.
How incredibly peaceful that tree is.
Now notice the most interesting cloud formation or small bit of cloud that you can see in the sky.
Notice how incredibly massive,
How incredibly vast the sky and the cosmos above us is.
Notice how incredibly still,
How incredibly peaceful the sky is.
As you do notice too,
Any birds that happen to fly through the sky above you.
Notice how incredibly graceful,
How incredibly carefree,
How incredibly peaceful they are.
Now notice yourself firmly rooted into the earth beneath you.
Notice how incredibly massive and vast the earth is beneath your feet.
Notice how incredibly still,
How incredibly peaceful,
How incredibly silent the earth is.
Now if you haven't already,
Close your eyes and notice the breeze against your skin.
Notice the breath filling your lungs.
Notice how incredibly connected we all are by our breath,
By the air,
By the earth,
To the trees,
To the birds,
To the sky,
To each other.
And notice despite any breeze,
How incredibly still the air is.
How incredibly peaceful your breath is.
Now notice your body.
Notice as many sensations as you can within your body.
Notice how incredibly extraordinary are the 100 trillion cells that run your body without any conscious control from you.
Notice how incredibly still,
How incredibly silent,
How incredibly peaceful your body is.
Now notice your individual mind.
Notice any thoughts as they begin to re-emerge.
Notice how this is the only place in all of creation that isn't peaceful,
That isn't still,
That isn't silent.
And notice how that's okay,
Because it is so,
So,
So tiny.
Notice how easily you can step outside the tiny,
Turbulent,
Incessant voice in the head and step into the vastness,
The peace,
The serenity,
The joy,
The stillness,
The immensity,
The love that is the real you.
Namaste.
