Cosmic Love Meditation

Come on a journey from the centre of your heart to the edge of the cosmos, and realise they are one and the same, experiencing yourself as the fundamental energy of love that is the fabric of the cosmos.

Transcript

Cosmic Love Meditation Find a comfortable position.

Close your eyes and allow yourself to become relaxed.

Take a moment to feel your connection to the world around you.

To the earth beneath your feet.

To the chair or bed you are resting upon.

And to the air,

The wind or the sunshine that surrounds you.

Feel your connection to all that is.

Now bring your conscious awareness to your heart.

Feel yourself breathing deeply into your heart.

Breathe in deeply to the count of five.

Feeling the breath entering your heart.

Breathing in one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

And then out again to the count of five.

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

And breathing in again to the count of five.

And out,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Now one last time breathing in slowly into your heart.

Three,

Four,

Five.

And out.

Four,

Five.

And out.

Let your breathing return to its normal pace.

Now bring into the awareness of your heart someone for whom it is easy for you to love.

It might be a partner,

A son or daughter,

A parent,

A close friend.

It might be someone for whatever reason at this time you feel a strong sense of compassion for.

Someone perhaps who is going through a difficult time.

Invite that person into your heart.

Picture him or her vividly.

See their face.

Recall moments of profound love and connection between yourself and that person.

Recall how important that person is to you.

And bring to mind the love,

The peace and the happiness you wish for that person.

Allow this feeling of love and compassion to fill your heart.

And then visualize that love emanating from your heart as a white light that fills your entire body.

See that light washing down over your entire body from your head right down through your body and into your toes.

And experience the feeling of overwhelming love and compassion filling every cell of your body.

Picture that white light now emanating further from your body and now encompassing the entire room and then the entire house that you are in.

And any person who is in that house that you are in.

See that light of love becoming each person in your home or building.

Now continue to see that light of love spreading further through your entire town or city.

And as it does,

Bring to mind all of those people within your town or city for whom it is easy for you to love.

All those people you wish to be embraced with your own consciousness,

Your own love.

Now allow that consciousness to embrace and envelop all people within your town or city.

All creatures.

See that white light enveloping all that is in your local area.

Then see that light spreading further and encompassing your entire country.

As it does,

Invite all those people that you know who you wish to be bathed in the one love,

The one consciousness that is you.

Now invite all people,

Those you know and those you don't know.

All creatures and all of the natural world that is your country to be part of your light,

Your love,

Your consciousness.

And now see your light spreading out further to encircle the entire globe and all beings within the globe.

May all people be washed and filled with a sense of overwhelming love,

Compassion,

Gratitude,

Forgiveness,

Peace and joy.

May the light that is the one,

All that is,

That is you,

Bathe the world in abundant,

Radiant,

Unconditional love.

May all people and all beings in the world feel your love.

As does the one most special person in your life.

Now see the one love,

The one life,

The one white light emanating from your heart reach out into the furthest reaches of our solar system.

And then let it continue to encircle and to encompass and envelop the whole of the Milky Way Galaxy.

All of the stars,

All of the planets and all of the life that exists in our galaxy as one light of love,

Of peace and of joy.

And now let that light spread further and further still.

See it enveloping the entire universe,

Each of the hundreds of billions of galaxies,

Each with their hundreds of billions of stars.

And the entirety of the deep outer space and time that is the cosmos.

Now as that white light experience yourself as the cosmos.

Know that your love,

Your consciousness is the cosmos.

Experience yourself as the beauty,

The perfection,

The sacredness that you truly are.

Feel the overwhelming stillness that you are.

Feel the overwhelming sense of peace,

Of belonging that you are.

See and feel and experience the profound fundamental energy of love that is this white light.

That is the fabric of the cosmos.

That is the one life that is you.

Radiating and enveloping all that is.

Feel that love and that peace and that joy.

Both emanating from your heart and flowing into your heart.

Washing over your body and every cell within your body.

Know that this energy flows from and in and within and over you and is you every minute of every day.

For each person that you are to encounter today.

Feel the I am that you are that says I love you.

That says you are beautiful.

You are perfect.

You are sacred.

You are the most beloved creature in all of creation.

Slowly now allow your attention to return to your physical body.

Take two more deep breaths into your heart.

Feel yourself becoming more active.

When you are ready you can take this feeling of cosmic love with you into the rest of your day.

I honor the place in you that is the same in me.

I honor in you where the entire universe resides.

I honor the place in you of love,

Of light,

Of peace and of truth.

I honor the place in you that is the same in me.

There is but one.
