Ever noticed how your mind starts to move before you do?
Like a plane revving on the runway,
Ready to take off before it's cleared.
And then the pilot's voice breaks in.
We're waiting for clearance.
There's nothing wrong with the plane.
Nothing wrong with the sky.
It's simply not the right time to move.
The same is true for your thoughts.
Sometimes they want to rush ahead,
But awareness waits for space.
And so today,
We practice that pause,
The space that lets peace land.
The mind is not a vessel to be filled,
But a runway to be cleared.
Stillness isn't something you chase.
Stillness appears when the runway is clear.
So let your body rest,
Like a plane,
Before takeoff.
Shoulders,
Soft,
Belly,
Release.
Each breath clears a little more sky.
And notice the movement above you,
Thoughts taking off,
Circling,
Landing.
You don't have to board every flight.
You don't have to direct the traffic.
Just watch,
Steady,
Silent,
For the sky that holds it all.
So notice the lift,
The moment your mind begins to pull away,
That's your takeoff signal,
But you don't have to follow it.
Awareness.
Awareness alone is the clearance,
And then return to the ground.
Feel your breath,
Your seat,
The solid earth beneath you.
Presence always lands you safely,
And then clear for peace.
Take one long exhale,
And whisper.
Not as an escape,
But as release.
Let it fly,
My friend.
Because you are the sky.
And before I leave you to practice,
When thoughts begin to stir again,
Remember your clearances.
Notice the lift.
Return to the ground.
Clear,
For peace.
And when you catch yourself boarding a thought,
Whisper gently to it.
Begin to fill your breath again.
The steady ground beneath you.
The body that's held you all along.
Awareness returning to earth,
And when life feels crowded with thought,
Notice the lift.
Return to the ground.
Clear,
For peace.
And let it fly before you reply.
Let it fly before you try.
And most importantly,
Let it fly.
Because you,
You are the sky.
Not every thought needs to land.
Peace lands when you stop trying to pilot every plane.
May your mind,
Body,
And spirit be abundant with peace,
And the spaciousness to let it fly.
Today,
And every day.
Until next time,
My friend.
