Sometimes we can feel overwhelmed like our mind is running at a million miles an hour and if that is you today and you need to take some time to just breathe then take a seat get comfortable and join me for a few minutes to bring your attention back right here to calm your nervous system and to know that you don't need to worry or stress right now you've got this and you can take this time for you so you can gently close your eyes or you can keep them open whatever feels best just bringing your awareness to your breath as it comes in and out through your nose maybe you want to take a deep breath in and as you exhale fully release letting out an audible sigh and allowing your body to relax releasing tension from your face and your jaw from your shoulders from your belly grounding yourself down here feeling the ground beneath your feet or your sit bones and then bringing your attention back to your breath as you inhale saying to yourself slow and as you exhale saying to yourself down slow down signaling to your body to your mind that you need to slow you need this time to bring your nervous system down to bring your mind into a calmer state slow down just keeping on in your own rhythm as you inhale saying slow and as you exhale down noticing if that helps bring your mind into more stillness or calm you can carry on doing this for as long as you need to whenever you're ready if you have your eyes closed you can just bring them open feel yourself right here in this room wherever you are maybe bringing a little smile to your face and whatever you've got going on just know that you can handle whatever comes your way bringing this more calm more collected feeling with you into the rest of your day
