Finding a comfortable seated position,
Feeling your sit bones on the ground beneath you,
Feeling your spine nice and long,
And just starting with a scan of your body from the top of your head,
Noticing if you can let go of any tension stored in your jaw,
Your shoulders,
Your belly,
Your hips,
Your ankles,
Or anywhere else,
Just let it release,
And then notice your breath as it comes in and out through your nose,
Watching it come in through your nostrils,
Down your throat,
Expanding into your lungs,
And watching it as it releases out through your nose,
Bringing this presence and awareness to your body and to your breath,
Whatever challenges that come your way,
Knowing that you can deal with them,
Feeling this strength within,
Maybe bringing one hand onto your belly,
And one hand onto your heart space in the center of your chest,
And then listening to my voice and saying it to yourself,
I am strong,
I am capable,
I can handle whatever comes my way,
I am strong,
I am capable,

Feeling your body,
Feeling your breath,
Knowing that you have the answers inside,
You just need to slow down and listen,
You are strong,
You are capable,
And you can handle whatever comes your way,
Bringing your awareness to your breath,
You can let your hands rest onto your thighs,
Or you can keep them on your body,
Feel your sit bones grounding down into the floor,
Feeling the support beneath you from the earth,
Sitting up nice and tall,
Feeling your body taking up the space it deserves,
Lengthening the crown of your head towards the sky,
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
And when you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes,
Taking this sense of confidence,
This knowing,
Into the rest of your day.
