Find a comfortable seated position with your spine nice and straight,
Feeling your sit bones on the surface beneath you and reaching the crown of your head towards the sky.
Noticing your body sitting here in this new day.
Notice your breathing as it comes in and out through your nose.
Not changing anything but keeping your breath as it is.
Notice how your legs are feeling,
Softening them.
Notice how your belly feels,
Letting go of tension.
Noticing how your arms feel,
Releasing any tightness.
Noticing how your shoulders feel.
Letting them drop down with the weight of gravity.
Noticing how your face feels,
Relaxing and releasing and connecting to your body.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
The first deep breath of this new day.
And now bring your awareness to your heart center as you breathe here.
Watching the inhale and exhale at your own rhythm and ask yourself the question,
As the first thing you do today,
What do I need?
What is my body asking for today?
Listening to see if anything comes up.
Staying present with your breath and your heart center.
Maybe feeling the need to take action on something,
To move your body or to rest and take a day to recharge.
Or maybe nothing really comes up,
But just taking this time to check in and notice.
Noticing and breathing.
And then slowly bringing your awareness back to your sit bones on the surface beneath you.
Feeling the air around your body and the sounds you can hear.
Maybe rolling your shoulders to bring some gentle movement into your body and then place your hands to your heart.
Bringing this awareness of what you need along with the presence and calm you have created with you into the rest of your day.
Slowly open your eyes and have a brilliant day.
