Welcome,
I'm Carrie Martinez of Soul Rattle.
And this is a brief breathing technique that you can use.
We'll start with breath holding and then lead into the So Hum breath.
Follow my guidance as best as you can.
But first make sure that you're feeling really comfortable.
You can either do this meditation seated or lying down.
Again making sure you're supported,
Feet are supported,
Body is supported if you're lying down,
Pillow if you need it,
Blanket.
Just being supremely comfortable makes the experience a little easier to follow.
So let's start with taking three deep breaths together.
In between each breath we'll just breathe normally.
Ready?
Let's inhale.
Hold the breath in.
And when prompted by the inner urging,
Release the breath slow and steady.
Release,
Release.
And then breathe normally.
And again,
Second breath now.
Let's inhale together.
And this time hold the breath.
Hold the breath a little longer now.
And again when prompted,
Release the breath slow and steady,
Allowing any tensions to go.
Releasing it all until there is nothing left.
And again breathe normally.
And we'll do that one more time together,
Taking a deep breath in.
This time holding the breath just a little bit longer.
No strain.
And release the breath slow and steady once again until there's nothing left and you feel completely empty and open.
Coming back into the normal breath.
Inhaling and exhaling,
Allowing the breath to just breathe itself.
And imagining that breath flowing like ocean waves onto the shore.
Feeling the wave moves onto the shore,
You see the edge of the water meet the sand.
And as you exhale,
You watch the water go deep back into the ocean where it came from.
Feeling connected to the rhythm of the wave and the rhythm that is your breath.
You don't have to try to make anything happen.
The breath simply falls into its own rhythm.
And now we'll integrate the sound of so hum with the rhythm of the breath.
Breathing in down towards the base of the spine.
Hearing the sound internally of so.
Exhaling from the base of the spine,
Breathing it back out.
Hearing the sound of hum.
Exhaling the wave and the water touches the sand on the shore.
So Exhaling the wave and the water going back to the ocean.
Hum Feeling so.
Exhaling hum.
Continue with this breath and sound together.
No end.
No beginning.
Sound and breath.
Sensations and attention.
Mixing and merging together in the space of the breath.
That I am.
That I am.
I am that.
Release the mantra.
Come back to the breath.
Increasing the technique and just breathing normally now.
We'll take one more breath together,
Inhaling and sighing it out.
Arriving back into the space that you're in.
The supports underneath you.
Opening your eyes.
Ready.
Ready for the next moments of the day.
Jai Bhagwan.
Victory to the soul.
