Hi,
I'm Shakti Shilpa and welcome.
Before you begin your day,
Your work.
Whatever it is that is waiting for you.
Take a few moments to arrive.
You don't have to feel motivated.
You don't have to feel completely ready.
You can simply begin from where you are.
So find a comfortable position.
Let your hands rest easily.
And allow your eyes to close if that feels comfortable.
Notice your body here.
The weight of you being supported.
Your feet on the floor or the body resting beneath you.
Notice your shoulders.
And see if you can just let them drop away from your ears.
Soften your jaw.
Relax the space around your eyes.
And space between your eyebrows.
And your face is calm.
Now bring your attention to your breathing.
Don't change it.
Just notice the breath coming in.
And the bread going out.
Now take a little slower and deeper breath in.
And a longer breath out.
Again,
Breathing in deeper.
And slowly breathing out.
Let the exhale be a little like settling down.
One more time,
A deeper breath in.
And long easy breath out go on your own for two or three more rounds Every time you breathe in,
Allow yourself to expand and create space.
Every time you breathe out,
Allow yourself to release and relax.
Now allow your breath to return to normal.
You'll notice the space between one breath and the next.
Nothing special needs to happen,
Just observing.
As you prepare to begin your day,
Ask yourself,
What would it feel like to move through today without rushing myself?
You don't need an answer,
Just notice what comes up.
And perhaps choose one quality you'd like to carry with you today.
It could be steadiness,
Clarity.
Patience.
Presence or simply ease.
Choose whatever feels useful.
Take a comfortable breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Allow yourself to settle into that quality.
You don't need to hold on to it all day.
You can always return to it whenever you remember.
Now slowly bring your awareness.
Back to the room.
Notice the sounds around you.
Notice the surface beneath you.
Move your fingers gently.
And as and when you feel ready.
Open your eyes.
You don't have to rush into the next thing.
Take one more moment.
And then begin.
From steady ground.
Thank you for taking these moments for yourself.
Take care.
Be gentle with yourself and I'll see you in the next meditation.
