Hi.
My name is Shakti.
Welcome to this meditation.
Before we begin,
Find a comfortable position.
You can lie down if that feels right or sit in a way that feels relaxed and supported.
Let your spine have some length.
Let your body feel at ease.
Close your eyes when you're ready.
Take one small deep breath in.
And let it go.
Wherever you are right now,
Whatever your day has looked like,
You can set it down for the next few minutes.
You don't need to hold anything together right now.
You don't need to figure anything out.
Just this,
Just here.
Take another breath in.
And let it go.
Begin to notice your body.
Not to fix it,
Not to judge it,
Just to notice.
Start with your jaw.
Notice if there's anything that you're holding there.
Any clenching.
Let there be a tiny gap between your teeth.
And let your tongue rest.
Your shoulders,
Let them drop.
Even a little,
Even half a centimeter.
Your hands,
Let your fingers be loose and open.
Your belly.
Let it be completely soft,
Unguarded.
With every exhale,
Allow the body to soften a little more.
Feel the support beneath you.
The ground holding you.
You don't need to carry yourself right now.
Now gently turn your awareness inward.
Toward your body.
Not as something to push harder,
Not as something to improve.
But as a living companion,
A home.
A friend that has been carrying you every single day.
This body has been with you through everything.
Every hard moment.
And every good one.
It has never once stopped working for you.
Even when you forgot to notice.
Bring your awareness to any part of your body.
That feels like it needs attention now.
Perhaps there is tension somewhere,
Perhaps tiredness,
Perhaps numbness.
Perhaps just an area that quietly wants to be felt.
Just notice what calls for your attention.
And as you rest your awareness there,
Meet it with gentleness without needing it to be different.
Just listening.
Inwardly,
You might say,
I'm here,
I'm listening.
Thank you for caring me.
Thank you for everything you've continued to do.
Even when I wasn't paying attention.
And maybe ask softly.
Is there something you've been trying to tell me?
Is there something you need?
Just listen.
The body speaks in sensations,
In feelings,
In images,
In silence.
There is no right way to receive.
Just stay open.
And perhaps you begin to sense that even the parts of yourself that feel uncomfortable have been trying to help you in some way.
Perhaps tension has been holding something unspoken.
Perhaps exhaustion has been asking you to slow down.
Perhaps tightness has been trying to hold you together.
The body is not against you.
It never has been.
It has just been trying to communicate in the only language it knows.
Or it has.
And just for a moment,
Instead of trying to change what you find,
Allow yourself to become curious.
What if this part of you has a message?
What if it has been trying to get your attention for a while?
Breathe gently.
Imagine now a warm golden light.
Beginning to glow at the center of your chest.
Soft,
Steady,
Like early morning sunlight.
With every breath,
This warmth slowly expands.
Through your chest,
Your belly,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your spine,
Your legs.
Flowing exactly where it is needed.
No force,
No pressure,
Just warmth.
Imagine this golden light gently touching every part of you that feels tired or heavy or unseen.
Like the body remembering how to soften.
Like something in you finally allowed to rest.
And if there is anything you're ready to let go of right now,
You can offer it to the earth beneath you.
The rush,
The pressure.
The story that says you're not enough.
For now,
You don't need to carry it.
Notice that underneath all the noise.
Your body still knows how to breathe.
Still knows how to rest.
There is wisdom there.
There has always been wisdom there.
Place one hand somewhere in your body that feels comforting.
Your heart,
Your belly,
Whatever feels right.
And inwardly you can say to yourself,
I am learning to listen.
I am learning to soften.
I am learning to be on my side.
Take a slightly deeper breath in.
And slowly exhale.
Begin to notice the sounds around you.
The air on your skin.
Gently bring some movement back.
Your fingers,
Your toes,
Shoulders.
When you're ready,
Let your eyes open.
Softly.
Arriving back.
Little softer.
Little more connected.
A little more.
At home within yourself.
