This short recording of my breath and heart beat demonstrates respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA): the natural and normal speeding up of heart rate during each inhale and the natural and normal slowing down of heart rate during each exhale. Recorded during practice with "Coherent Breathing Symphony." Requires good bass to hear the heart sound. Headphones are best.

I can see why others might be a bit confused about this track, but I found it excellent - other than the abrupt ending. It was a good illustration of a concept I have heard others try to explain before. Some do it well. Others do not. I have a long history of cardiac arrhythmia including a cardiac ablation to address part of it, and a few medical conditions which contribute to irregularity in pulse and pressure. I am quite aware of my heart activity as a result, and have noticed the phenomenon demonstrated here on many occasions. Listening to it just now actually caused my arrhythmia (a brief burst of it) to resolve and sync up with the rhythm I was hearing. Bonus side effect! 😁 I had more trouble deciphering the breathing, although it became clear after a bit of re-orienting myself to the different sound. Thanks for sharing this auditory "picture" to demonstrate RSA. Very helpful! I see you and the light within you. Be well. 🤲🏻❤🤲🏻
