Short explanation of coherence as harmony among all systems' rhythms – starting with the rhythms of breathing and heart beats. Stress is the opposite of coherence. Stress reduces heart rate variability (HRV) and Coherent Breathing increases it. HRV has emerged as an important indicator of overall health. Coherence is the energetic alignment and cooperation of all of our systems.

What is coherence?

The simplest way to say it is that coherence is an internal state of harmony among the body's processes.

By contrast,

Stress is a state of disharmony among your body's processes.

Coherence occurs whenever your breathing rhythm and your heart rhythm and your other physiological rhythms are together in sync or in phase.

Coherence is the alignment and cooperation of all of our systems,

Much like music is the alignment and cooperation of all the instruments in an ensemble.

While this track is only slightly more than a reading of the definition of the word “coherence”, I sincerely appreciate the interest it sparked in me regarding the concept itself. I also appreciate the way he presented it- without condescension, & with a simple, non-boastful confidence. It left me with the suspicion that he has much more to teach about it, which I- & many other people- might greatly benefit from, & would love to learn! I understand it’s impossible to explain most things in depth in less than a minute. Still, i was startled by the abruptness with which this track ends, & it left me wishing he’d shared more about coherence as it relates to one’s whole being. Meaning, the coherence of the body & the many different mental, energetic, & emotional aspects of each of us as individuals; as well as the effects- the symptoms & signs to be seen or felt- while in a state of a lack of coherence. But, perhaps there is already a track on his page which does exactly that! I just haven’t had a chance to look yet. Over all, thank you for sharing this! (& I apologize that this “review” must be longer than the track itself😬!)
