Welcome to this short meditation themed on awakening your heart.
The heart space lives away from the mind and deep in the chest of the body.
When we live from the heart space and not from the mind,
We embody a different quality in our lives.
We can often become truer to ourselves and following the path of the heart is for the brave.
And it might be that over a long period of time you have forgotten.
And we can forget how the heart feels.
And how it feels to live from this place of unconditional love,
Of acceptance,
Of truth and of authenticity and who we really are before our brain tries to keep us safe which is a very important job.
And I'd like to guide you through a meditation to reconnect with your heart if you're feeling a little bit all in the head and a little bit disconnected from this part of yourself,
This part of your body.
This can happen over a short amount of time or it can happen over many years.
So your only job now for the next few minutes in this heart awakening meditation is to return home to your heart just by breathing and listening to the crystal singing bowls and my voice.
So I invite you now to just make sure you're nice and comfortable,
You don't have to be sat necessarily in a meditation position or cross-legged,
You can be lying down.
So just making yourself really comfortable,
Making sure you're warm enough.
And we'll begin to take three deep breaths,
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
So let's breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
And just keeping that connection with your breath,
Each in-breath,
Each out-breath,
Giving yourself permission to slow down,
Slowing down.
Keeping that connection with slow deep breaths,
Just being with whatever is here today.
Deep acceptance for any emotion that's here without trying to change it.
Spending a moment with the breath and whichever emotional state you might be in today is your space to welcome it and be with it exactly as it is.
Breathing into any spaces of your body,
Feel neglected.
Just checking in with your physical body now,
Noticing how is my physical body,
Just noticing.
Maybe it's tired,
Maybe it's energized,
Maybe there are some aches and pains.
Maybe it's depleted or maybe it's feeling healthy.
Maybe you're feeling a little different on different days.
And now bring your awareness to the mind and noticing how is my mind today,
Without any judgment.
Maybe it's busy,
Maybe it's quiet and thoughtful.
Bringing your awareness now to the heart center,
The center of the chest,
The heart space and just noticing what's on your heart,
Connecting to this part of your body that always knows the way when we listen without any expectations.
As you connect to this part of your body just noticing anything that wants to be felt from today or maybe a long time ago and with each breath to anchor you and guide you,
Soft in breaths and out breaths,
Keep connecting with your heart,
This area of the body and the heart that never stops beating for you every single day and just for the next couple of moments keeping that connection with your heart,
Deep in breaths and out breaths and this steady pace,
This steady breath and this steadiness of the heart,
Taking that with you throughout your day,
Knowing that it's always there to guide you with just a few breaths and just listening.
Our greatest guide,
Our greatest teacher is often our heart and our intuition when we drop out of the mind and into this space of the body.
Thank you for meditating with me and taking this awakening of your heart that's always there for you into your day.
