Hi,

This is Yves Amboise and I will be your guide on your journey to your restful haven.

Begin by finding a quiet,

Comfortable space where you can fully relax.

Lie down in your bed or another cozy spot,

Ensuring your body feels fully supported.

Inviting you to either close your eyes or to soften your gaze,

Allowing the outside world to gently fade away.

On your next inhale,

Take a deep,

Slow breath in through your nose,

Filling your lungs completely.

As you exhale through your mouth,

Imagine releasing the weight of the day,

The worries,

The tasks left undone,

Any lingering tension.

Let them drift away like clouds dissolving into a vast sky.

Repeat this breathing cycle a few more times,

Each exhale carrying away more of the day's burdens,

Leaving only calmness behind.

Now bring your awareness to the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.

Feel the gentle weight of your head resting on the pillow,

The heaviness of your arms and legs as they sink comfortably into the mattress or whatever surface is supporting you.

Allow yourself to be fully supported as if the earth itself is holding you in a warm,

Protective embrace.

On your next inhale,

And in your mind's eye,

Begin to visualize a gentle path unfolding before you,

A path leading you away from the noise of the day and into a space of deep tranquility.

This path is soft and inviting,

Guiding you effortlessly towards your own restful haven.

With each step,

Notice the ground beneath your feet,

Does it feel like cool,

Soft grass?

Maybe silky sunlit shore caressing your skin,

Or does it feel like smooth,

Polished stone?

Each step forward releases tension as if stress is gently falling away from your shoulders,

Dissolving into the earth.

Feel the air around you,

Is it crisp and refreshing or warm and soothing?

On your next inhale,

Take a deep breath in,

Allowing its peaceful energy to fill your body.

Exhale slowly,

Letting go of any remaining thoughts or worries.

As you continue along this path,

Tune into the gentle sounds surrounding you.

Perhaps you hear birds singing,

The pulsing lapping of waves,

Or a soft breeze rustling through the trees.

Let these sounds wrap around you,

Calming your mind and soothing your body.

With each breath,

With each step,

You are sinking deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Soon,

You arrive at your personal sanctuary,

A space created just for you to rest and restore.

This haven can be anywhere that brings you peace.

Perhaps it's a quiet forest clearing,

A cozy room filled with candlelight,

Or a secluded beach under a vast,

Starry sky.

Take in the details of your surroundings,

What do you see stretching out before you?

Rolling hills,

Gentle waves,

Or soft billowing curtains?

Notice the colors,

The light,

The textures.

What sounds fill the air?

Perhaps the distant call of an owl,

The whisper of wind,

Or the hush of water flowing nearby.

Now,

If you'd like or would find it comforting,

You can reach out in your mind and touch something in your sanctuary,

A velvety cushion,

Cool stone,

Or maybe warm sand.

Feel its texture beneath your fingertips,

Grounding you in the present moment.

Breathe in deeply,

Notice the scents that are carried in the air.

Maybe it's fresh pine,

Or the faint sweetness of flowers,

Or the cleansing scent of rain-washed earth.

As you settle into this safe,

Peaceful space,

Skin your body gently from head to toe.

Notice any areas where tension lingers,

And imagine that tension melting away,

Like ice softening under the warmth of the sun.

With each breath,

Your muscles loosen,

Your breath slows,

And a deep sense of peace washes over you.

If any thoughts arise,

About today,

About tomorrow,

Acknowledge them with kindness,

Then let them drift away like leaves floating downstream.

You don't need to hold onto them right now,

Instead,

Return your focus to the soothing sensations of your haven,

The gentle sounds,

The comforting scents,

The feeling of safety all around you.

Now,

Imagine yourself lying down within this peaceful sanctuary.

Feel the warmth and protection of this space wrapping around you like a soft,

Weightless blanket.

Let go completely,

Your body is heavy yet comfortable,

Your mind is quiet yet free.

Above you,

The sky stretches endlessly.

If it is daytime,

Watch as the sun sets,

Its golden light fading into the cool embrace of twilight.

If it is night,

Gaze up at the stars,

Their soft shimmer a gentle reminder of the vastness and stillness of the universe.

Take a few final deep breaths,

Feeling the air filling your lungs,

Then releasing slowly.

With each breath,

You sink deeper into comfort,

Deeper into relaxation,

Deeper into sleep.

Silently affirm to yourself,

I release the worries of today,

I am safe,

I allow myself to rest deeply,

I release the worries of today,

Let these affirmations guide you gently into slumber,

There is nothing more to do,

No effort,

No resistance,

Only rest.

A restful haven is always here for you,
