The end of the day is a wonderful time to engage in the practice of gratitude and growth. Spend a few moments each evening to reflect on your day’s blessings and opportunities for growth. As author Melody Beattie said, "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life---it turns what we have into enough and more."

With eyes closed and in a place where you can fully relax,

Take a deep breath in and breathe out slowly.

Once again,

Breathe in and breathe out.

Release every muscle as you sink into the surface supporting you.

The end of the day is a wonderful time to engage in the practice of gratitude and growth.

Author Melanie Beatty said,

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.

It turns what we have into enough and more.

Willie Nelson said,

When he started counting his blessings,

His whole life turned around.

So begin to think back over your day and ask yourself,

What can I celebrate and be grateful for about today?

Go back to moments of laughter,

Support,

And love that you gave and received.

But don't restrict gratitude only to happy things.

You can also celebrate having learned something,

Perhaps an important lesson.

So now take a few moments to appreciate the blessings of your day.

Now let's think about opportunities for growth.

When we truly love and respect ourselves,

We can acknowledge our imperfections without defensiveness.

So take a deep breath in and send yourself some love and appreciation.

Now try going back through your day and ask,

Is there something I would do differently if I had a do over?

If you feel regret about anything you did today,

Set aside any feelings of judgment or guilt and just focus on what you will do differently next time.

Spend some time now meditating on your growth opportunities.

Now,

Once more,

Return to gratitude.

Take a few moments to feel gratitude alive in your body.

Now thankfulness to move like a wave slowly from the top of your head to your shoulders and arms,

Into your core,

And down into your legs and feet.

Now set aside all the specifics and just dwell in the spirit of gratitude.

Breathe in gratitude.

Breathe out gratitude.

Breathe gratitude.

As your evening winds down and you prepare for sleep,

May you continue to embody the spirit of gratitude.

End of the Day Gratitude and Growth practice has become a goodwill for me to learn about my day as it ends. Everything I did in the day allows for being grateful and enough for what I have. I should be thankful and I am though I feel conflicted each time. This comes from childhood and maybe it’s selfish to say but my hopes and dreams are far fetched and eventually I feel guilt, sadness, and lonely. I may have my parents close to me but nothing will replace the feelings I have. Sometimes, I imagine a successful life free from what holds me back (fear of the unknown and hiding my true self). I can’t show who I truly am because of feeling heartbroken 💔 and the potentiallly loss of innocence. No amount of gratitude, grace, and self-care can bring me back to where I feel like an imposter.
