Welcome to your third quarter meditation.
This meditation I invite you to lie down on your yoga mat or your bed or your couch wherever you can be comfortable.
Close down the eyes.
Third quarter is where you may choose to cleanse and let go of limiting beliefs that may still be lingering in preparation for the new moon ahead.
The other related themes around this moon phase are releasing,
Letting go and forgiveness.
Like the moon gradually letting go of its size,
You may be ready to let go of all the baggage you've been carrying.
Throughout this month you may have experienced many challenges.
It's under this moon that you will let go of things like grudges,
Anger and regress.
Set down anything that feels too heavy and pointless to continue carrying.
So in this releasing,
Letting go and cleansing theme,
We will move into a kosher body cleansing meditation.
Within yoga philosophy,
The physical body is just the densest part of your being.
You also have energy body,
Emotional body,
Mental body and the bliss body.
In this meditation practice,
We're going to work with cleaning these layers.
We're cleaning them,
Cleansing them of the residues from life events.
Things like arguments or things that happen to work or things that you've been thinking through and you're worried about.
It can all leave a residue that you're then carrying around as emotional baggage.
During our meditation today,
I'm just going to release some of that,
Letting it go and smoothing out the energy fields.
So we can have a smoother experience in our life and a happier one.
So make sure you're lying comfortably and using your mind's eye or your third eye to visualize that you're lying down inside an energy field.
You are at the center of this energy field.
It extends maybe a foot out from your body in every direction.
And as you visualize this energy field,
Bring your awareness,
Your focus now to your breath and start to tune into the sensation of breathing.
Beginning with your nose,
Feeling that inhale and that exhale for a couple of breaths.
Bring your focus down to the throat,
Just experiencing,
Observing that sensation of breath in and out of the throat.
Stay with it for a couple of breaths.
Bring the breath a little bit lower down now to the chest,
To the diaphragm,
To the ribs and to the belly.
Focusing on these areas for four or five rounds of breath.
And as you breathe deeply,
Imagine that energy field,
Sending your breath out into that energy field,
Replenishing it with every inhale.
And as we breathe in now,
We breathe gold light all around the left side of our bodies and energy fields.
And as we breathe out,
We are breathing silver light from the crown of our head all the way down the right side of the energy field.
So we have gold light on one side,
Silver light in the other.
The gold relates to solar energy,
The divine masculine,
Our drive to get things done.
Silver relates to the lunar,
The receptive,
The divine feminine replenishing energy.
And as you breathe circulating the silver and the gold,
The sun and the moon,
The masculine and the feminine,
Say an affirmation inside your own mind very simply.
I am calm and relaxed.
I am cleansed and relaxed.
I am calm and relaxed.
I am cleansed and relaxed.
Repeat for nine rounds.
Use those deep breaths to expand the energy field.
It's even bigger and wider away from the body,
Representing the energy and emotional bodies.
Keep breathing gold light in and out in the right hand side,
Breathing the left silver light,
Gold to the right,
Silver to the left.
Keep repeating.
I am calm and relaxed.
I am cleansed and relaxed.
As your energy field expands,
Let it expand in that beautiful gold and silver.
Bring your focus now all the way into your spinal cord.
And as you breathe,
Breathe up and down the length of your spine,
Breathing gold light up the length,
Silver light down and out.
Breathing gold light up the length,
Silver light down and out.
And this time your affirmation is simply,
I am at peace.
I am at peace.
Repeat for nine breaths.
Release the focus on the breath and just expand the attention now to notice how you feel.
Checking in with your energy,
With your mental states.
Start to bring some gentle movement into the body.
Carefully moving the head,
Hands and the feet.
Take any little stretches,
Yawns or sighs here.
And when we're ready,
Blink open the eyes,
Come up to a seat.
