Good morning now.
Before the day gathers speed,
Let this be a moment to reset.
Now not by doing more,
By pausing,
By breathing,
By clearing a little space inside.
So,
Take a slow breath in through the nose,
And then breathe it out gently,
And again,
In and out,
And again,
In and out,
And one more time,
In and out.
Now,
Imagine the mind as a room,
Not a bad room,
Not a broken room,
Just a room that may have gotten a little crowded,
Crowded with thoughts,
With tasks,
With unfinished pieces of yesterday,
With guesses about what today might bring,
And for what the next few moments you don't need to empty the whole room.
You only open a window,
Let some fresh air in,
Let some pressure move out,
With each breath in fresh air,
With each breath out a little more space,
Breathing in clarity,
Breathing out tension,
Breathing in openness,
Breathing out noise.
As you continue,
Notice what one part of you might be ready to release.
Maybe it's mental clutter,
Maybe it is pressure,
Maybe it's hurry,
Maybe it is the feeling that you have to be completely ready before the day begins.
You can let a little of that go now,
No,
Not all at once,
Just enough to feel the difference,
And now bring your attention to the area around your eyes,
Soften there,
Then the mouth,
Soften there too,
Then the throat,
The shoulders,
The hands,
And as the body softens,
The mind often follows,
As the breath steadies,
The thoughts often become less loud,
You don't need a perfectly quiet mind to feel clear,
You only need a little less noise,
A little more room,
A little more intention,
So ask yourself gently,
How would I like to move through this day,
What do I need to prove,
Not how much do I need to accomplish,
Just how would I like to move through it,
Maybe with steadiness,
Maybe with patience,
Maybe with focus,
Maybe even with kindness,
So choose one word now,
One word for the day ahead,
And let it be simple,
Let it be real,
Let it be something you can return to,
And now breathe that word in,
And breathe it out into the day in front of you now,
And again,
Inhale your word,
Exhale and let it spread through the body,
Now imagine your day beginning not from pressure,
But from intention,
Not from reaction,
But from presence,
Not from scattered energy,
But from a clear center,
You don't have to keep this feeling perfectly,
You only have to remember that it is available,
That clarity is something you can return to,
That your breath can help you reset,
That one pause can change the tone of a whole morning,
So take one last slow breath in,
And breathe it out with a little more ease,
A little more clarity,
A little more room inside,
And when you're ready,
Open into the day from here,
Good work today and namaste.
