Whichever feels right for you.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with fresh morning air,
And exhale slowly,
Releasing any tension you might be holding.
As you settle into this moment,
Bring your focus to your heart center.
Visualize a warm glowing light emanating from your heart,
Radiating comfort,
Peace,
And kindness.
This light represents your innate goodness,
The well of compassion,
And love that resides within you.
Now gently repeat these phrases to yourself,
Either silently or softly spoken.
May I be filled with loving-kindness.
May I be safe from inner and outer harm.
May I be well in body and mind.
May I be at ease and happy.
With each repetition,
Imagine the warm light in your heart growing brighter and more vibrant,
Filling your entire being with love and kindness.
Feel the sense of self-compassion and understanding,
Acknowledging your journey,
Your challenges,
And your strengths with a heart full of love.
Now let's extend this feeling of loving-kindness beyond ourselves to someone we love.
Picture this person in your mind,
Envisioning them happy and well.
As you hold this image,
Repeat the following phrases with them in mind.
May you be filled with loving-kindness.
May you be safe from inner and outer harm.
May you be well in body and mind.
May you be at ease and happy.
Imagine the light from your heart extending to envelop this loved one,
Offering them protection,
Health,
And happiness.
Feel the bond of unconditional love and kindness that connects you,
Strengthening your relationships,

Now think of an acquaintance,
Someone you know but not very well.
It could be a neighbor,
A co-worker,
Or someone you see regularly but don't have a close relationship with.
Visualize this person and extend the same loving-kindness to them.
May you be filled with loving-kindness.

May you be well in body and mind.
May you be at ease and happy.
By extending loving-kindness to acquaintances,
We acknowledge our shared humanity,
Fostering feelings of empathy and connectedness.
Imagine your kindness bridging the gap between you,
Creating a sense of community and understanding.
Now let's widen our circle of compassion to include all beings everywhere.
This includes people from all walks of life,
Animals,
And the earth itself.
With a heart full of love,
Repeat these phrases,
Envisioning your loving-kindness spreading far and wide.
