Hello,

And welcome friends,

Today I'm going to share with you a very special story called the Bhagavad Gita.

It's an ancient tale from India,

Filled with exciting adventures and wise lessons.

This story is about two main characters,

Arjuna,

A brave warrior prince,

And Krishna,

His clever and loving friend,

Who is actually a divine being in disguise.

Long ago,

There were two sets of royal cousins,

Who didn't get along very well.

Each group thought they deserved to rule the kingdom.

Arjuna belonged to the Pandavas,

Known for being fair and honorable.

Their cousins,

Called the Kauravas,

Wanted power for themselves.

The tension between these two families grew and grew,

Until one day,

They decided there was only one way to settle it,

A great battle.

The day the battle arrived,

The Pandavas and the Kauravas gathered on a vast field,

With soldiers,

Horses,

Elephants,

And chariots,

Stretching as far as the eye could see.

Many people were worried,

Because they all had friends and teachers on both sides.

Arjuna stood at the front of the army,

His shiny armor gleaming under the sun.

Beside him was Krishna,

Who had agreed to drive Arjuna's chariot.

Even though Krishna was a divine being,

That day,

He was just a humble charioteer.

As Arjuna looked across the battlefield,

He spotted people he loved on the opposite side.

Uncles,

Teachers,

And dear friends who had been dragged into this battle.

And suddenly,

His heart sank.

How can I fight my own family,

He thought.

In that moment,

His courage wavered.

He felt scared,

Sad,

And confused.

He put down his bow and arrows,

Trembling like a leaf in the wind,

Turning to Krishna Arjuna said,

I can't do this.

I won't fight.

It just feels wrong.

He was so upset that tears streamed down his cheeks.

Now,

Now,

Krishna smiled.

He knew Arjuna's problem wasn't just about a battle.

It was about doing what is right,

Even when it's tough.

Krishna planned to help Arjuna understand his duty and move forward with courage.

Krishna began to speak softly but firmly,

Like a loving teacher.

Arjuna,

He said,

The world is a place where everyone has a role to play.

You're a warrior,

Meant to protect the goodness and stand up for what's right.

And right now,

Injustice is taking over.

If you don't fight,

The wrong people will rule and all the good people will suffer.

Arjuna looked uneasy.

But they're my family.

How can this be right?

Krishna replied,

Sometimes doing the right thing doesn't feel easy.

If we step away from our duties,

The world can become more unfair.

There are times when we must stand tall and defend what is just.

Your role is to fight for what is good,

Even if it's hard.

Arjuna listened carefully.

He realized that Krishna wasn't telling him to be cruel.

Instead,

Krishna was teaching him responsibility,

Courage,

And faith in doing the right thing.

And next,

Krishna revealed something very special.

The secret of the soul,

Or the Atman.

He told Arjuna that inside every person is a spark of the divine.

Something that can never truly be destroyed.

When a person's body wears out,

That soul moves on,

Just like changing our clothes.

This was a comforting thought,

Because Arjuna realized that even if soldiers lost their lives in battle,

Their deeper,

Eternal part would continue its journey.

Remember,

Krishna said,

Your real self,

The soul,

Or Atman,

Lives on forever.

This is why you need to be fearless when you do your duty,

Because life itself doesn't truly end.

Seeing that,

Arjuna still had some questions.

Krishna explained the different yogas,

Or paths people can follow,

To connect with the divine.

Krishna explained Karma Yoga,

The path of action.

When you do good deeds without being selfish,

You're practicing Karma Yoga.

Try your best,

Krishna said,

And don't worry about success or failure.

Keep your mind pure,

And do good for others.

Then there was Jnana Yoga,

The path of knowledge.

This is about learning who we really are,

And understanding the nature of the soul,

And the universe.

When you understand that everything is part of one great spirit,

Krishna told Arjuna,

You see all beings as connected.

Then there is Bhakti Yoga,

The path of devotion.

If you love and trust the divine with all your heart,

You find peace and joy.

Offer everything you do to me,

Krishna said.

When your heart is filled with love and devotion,

The universe supports you.

These teachings made Arjuna feel very calm.

He realized that a person can pick the path that speaks to them the most.

Action,

Knowledge,

Or even devotion,

And still find their way to the truth.

So as they spoke,

Krishna noticed Arjuna was still uncertain.

So,

Krishna did something amazing.

He revealed his true form.

The grand divine form of the universe.

And suddenly,

Arjuna saw Krishna shining brighter than a thousand suns,

With countless arms and faces,

Holding entire galaxies within him.

It was dazzling,

Overwhelming and awesome.

Arjuna bowed in awe.

He realized that Krishna was not just his dear friend,

But the power that guided the entire cosmos.

You are the beginning,

The middle,

And the end of all things,

Arjuna exclaimed,

Shaking with wonder.

Even though this vision was intense,

It filled Arjuna with a sense of peace.

He understood that everything was connected to this divine force,

And that by playing his part,

He was serving a higher plan.

After the grand vision,

Krishna returned to his gentle human form,

Smiling kindly at Arjuna.

Now that you see who I really am,

He said,

Remember that I'm always with you.

Do what you must with wisdom and love.

Arjuna stood up straighter.

He lifted his bow again,

Not out of anger or hate,

But out of a sense of duty and righteousness.

He understood that his fight was not about harming people he cared for,

But about protecting his kingdom from injustice.

And in his heart,

He carried Krishna's teachings to act with courage,

Kindness and devotion.

It's said that Arjuna did fight bravely in the great battle.

The Pandavas won,

But it wasn't just about victory in war.

The real victory was understanding right and wrong and fulfilling one's purpose with an open heart.

Over time,

The words Krishna spoke to Arjuna were remembered and passed down as the Bhagavad Gita,

A guide that teaches us about duty,

Courage,

Devotion and the eternal nature of the Atman.

People read these teachings even today,

Finding wisdom and comfort when life becomes confusing or even challenging.

I hope you enjoyed the story and thanks again.

Namaste.
