Today I'm glad to share with you a little bit more about your Muladhara or your root chakra,
A short guided meditation that will take you in towards your root chakra.
This practice can be done in a seated position at any time of the day,
Whenever you prefer.
So begin by allowing yourself to come into a comfortable seated position.
This can be on a chair or close towards the ground,
Sitting on a mat or the floor,
Whichever you prefer,
Whatever makes you feel comfortable.
So once you find a comfortable seat,
Begin to place your palms wherever they feel right.
It can be facing up towards the sky or palm facing down.
You can allow your spine to rock left and right,
Left and right,
And sway front and back,
Front and back,
Couple of times,
Until you find the space that is right in the center,
So that all seven of your chakras align from the crown of your head to the base of your spine.
And once you find that space,
Ease into it.
If it feels alright to you,
Allow your eyes to gently close.
This is a safe space.
I am here with you.
We begin the journey at the base of your spine,
Inside your coccyx,
Close to your perineum.
Here lies your muladhara or your root chakra.
This governs your right to be,
Your sense of belonging,
And your sense of feeling that your basic needs are met.
See the color red here.
Red is the slowest of all wavelengths in the visible spectrum,
And yet it is the most stimulating color.
Red is the color of your blood,
And the first color you came into contact with when you were born.
We use red for stop signs and for the traffic lights.
Red commands attention.
It signals danger,
So you know when you need to act immediately.
Here,
Notice if there's any holding or clenching inside your body,
In your hips,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Fingers,
Your neck,
Your mouth,
Your ears,
Your face.
As you exhale,
Soften,
Release.
Here,
You are safe.
You are taken care of.
You are supported.
There is a mantra,
Which is a saying that I would like to share with you.
If you ever feel worried,
Unsafe,
Unsupported,
You can repeat this mantra to find solace and comfort inside of you.
The mantra goes like this.
I am safe.
I am taken care of.
I am safe.
I am taken cared of.
I am safe.
I am taken cared of.
You may repeat this silently or out loud a few more times along with me if you like,
Or just listen to the sound of my voice.
I am safe.
I am taken cared of.
I am safe.
I am taken cared of.
I am safe.
I am taken cared of.
I am safe.
I am taken cared of.
I am safe.
I am taken cared of.
I am safe.
I am taken cared of.
Let the meaning of those words simmer.
Let them sink.
Believe with every cell and fiber of your being that you are safe.
You are truly taken cared of in this present moment.
Feel the safety of your breath,
The safety of your body,
The safety of my voice supporting you.
Feel free to stay for as long as you would like.
If you feel your practice is complete,
Gently begin to draw your awareness towards your fingers,
Sensing and feeling the texture of the space and the air around your fingers,
Maybe the warmth of your skin.
Slowly bringing both palms together and you can begin to rub them,
Generating heat inside your palms and slowly cover your palms over your eyes and in the darkness,
The security and the safety of your palms.
Allow your eyes to slowly open.
Stay for as long as you would like here and when you feel ready,
Gently bring the palms together in prayer.
We call this in yoga Anjali Mudra.
Close towards your heart center.
Know that you are safe.
You are taken cared of.
Always.
My name is Wenling.
It has been a pleasure to share this journey with you.
