Welcome,
Dear beautiful one.
I'm so glad you're here.
Wherever you are right now,
Whether you've recently stepped away from a painful relationship,
Or whether you're still in the middle of it trying to make sense of things,
I want you to know something.
This space is for you.
You are safe here,
And you deserve to hear every word I'm about to share.
Let's first take a moment to find a comfortable position so you can fully receive this practice.
You can choose to be seated or lying down.
Whatever is best for you.
And then let's take a few cleansing breaths.
To help anchor you and to settle in.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And let it go with a gentle sigh.
Again,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And release slowly with a sigh.
One more time,
Deep breath in.
And release.
Let your shoulders soften.
And your jaw unclench.
Let your hands rest gently in your lap or beside you.
There is nothing for you to do right now,
Except listen to my voice.
Let the words find their way into your heart.
The era of the narcissist is coming to an end.
The rise of the empath has begun.
And it will continue to grow stronger.
The darkness of boastful egos.
Of manipulation and deceit.
Of serving only the Self.
Is slowly but surely lifting.
Masks are being removed one by one.
And the truth is coming to light.
Heart-based leadership is being recognized and embraced.
It will take time.
But it will continue to rise and light the way forward.
A path of caring for others while still honoring ourselves.
You are here for a reason.
It was divinely orchestrated that you found your way to this moment and to these words.
Recovering from abuse is a process.
Healing has its own rhythm.
Moments of progress,
And moments of sliding back.
But here's the wonderful thing.
You've recognized you deserve to stand up for yourself.
You've realized you're not imagining this.
And I'm so proud of you for taking these brave steps to protect yourself and to begin to heal.
My name is Wendy,
And I know how hard it is to break free and heal from a painful relationship.
I've experienced it myself,
And I'm so honored to hold this space for you today.
In this practice,
We'll move through a series of affirmations,
Words that will help you reclaim your truth and your worth.
Will also release shame.
Rediscover who you are.
Honor your boundaries.
Trust your healing.
And open to love.
All that is needed is for you to simply follow along and allow each affirmation to land in its own time.
Your beautiful heart holds so much love.
So much compassion.
As an empath,
You naturally want to use your love and compassion to help others.
And yet,
In the midst of all that care,
It's so easy to lose yourself.
No matter how strong we are,
We often don't realize where we are until we're deeply entangled with a narcissist.
Long after the gaslighting,
After the confusion,
And after losing pieces of ourselves along the way.
It's like sitting in a pot of water as the heat is turned up ever so slowly,
So quietly that you don't even notice until suddenly you do.
And now you know.
That knowing is the first step toward healing.
Once your eyes are open,
You can't unsee it.
And that's when you realize it's time to jump out.
Now let's turn toward healing.
Together,
We'll honor your beautiful heart and soul.
We'll strengthen your resolve and support you on your journey.
These affirmations are not just pretty words.
They are chosen with intention to gently help rewire the parts of your mind that were shaped by cruelty,
Manipulation,
And control.
Our brains can change and grow throughout our lives.
Many survivors find that speaking affirmations often and with feeling helps create new pathways in the mind.
Affirmations help quiet the loop of self-doubt and criticism.
Today,
We begin to claim your voice.
One of the deepest injuries of narcissistic abuse is having your own reality taken from you.
Gas lighting leaves a specific kind of wound.
Being told what you saw wasn't real.
What you felt was too much.
What you remember is wrong.
Over time,
It can make you doubt yourself at your very core.
So,
Let's reclaim your truth.
I'll say each affirmation.
And then I'll give you time to repeat it.
In your heart.
Or out loud.
If you prefer,
Simply let the affirmations wash over you.
Let's begin.
My perceptions are valid.
What I experienced was real.
I did not imagine it.
I am not too sensitive.
I had a normal response to something that was not normal.
My feelings have always made sense,
Even when I was told they didn't.
I trust myself.
Say that last one again with me.
I trust myself.
You are not broken.
You are not the problem.
You loved someone who could not love you back with honesty and care.
And that was never your fault.
Not for one single moment.
Narcissistic abuse also changes how we see ourselves.
Little by little,
Our sense of worth wears away through criticism,
Through comparison.
Through quiet and constant put downs.
But your worth is not something anyone can give you.
And it's not something anyone can take away from you.
Your worth belongs to you.
It always has.
Let's speak that truth back into your body now.
Repeat these after me.
In your heart.
Or out loud.
I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of respect.
I am worthy of kindness.
I am worthy of a relationship where I feel safe.
I am worthy of being truly seen and valued.
My needs matter.
My voice matters.
What I want matters.
I do not have to earn my place in this world.
I am enough,
Exactly as I am,
Right now.
Let that one land.
And say it one more time with me.
I am enough.
Not someday after you've fixed yourself.
Not only back before the relationship.
Right now,
Just as you are.
You are enough.
Survivors of narcissistic abuse often carry a tremendous amount of shame.
Shame about staying in the relationship.
Shame about not seeing the truth sooner.
Shame about things said or done in desperate attempts to keep the peace,
To be loved.
To survive.
Let's speak gently to that part of you now.
Let these words be a gentle comfort as you repeat them.
Any shame I carry is not mine to keep.
I did the best I could with what I knew at the time.
Loving someone who hurt me does not make me foolish.
It makes me human.
I release the need to punish myself for not seeing the truth sooner.
I release the guilt for things I said and did under so much pressure.
I released the belief that I could have loved them into being safe.
Their behavior was never a reflection of my worth.
Their cruelty was never about me.
Their inability to love me well speaks to who they are,
Not to who I am.
Breathe that in.
And as you exhale,
Let the shame go with your breath.
In a narcissistic relationship,
Your sense of self can slowly shape itself around the other person's moods,
Needs,
And wants.
You may have forgotten what you like.
What you believe,
What brings you joy,
What feels like you.
This part of our practice is an invitation to come home to yourself.
Repeat these after me in your heart or out loud.
I am allowed to have my own opinions.
I am allowed to have my own interests.
I am allowed to take up space.
I am allowed to feel joy without guilt.
I am allowed to want things for myself.
I am rediscovering who I am,
And I am someone worth knowing.
My true self was never destroyed.
My true self has been waiting,
Quietly and patiently,
For this moment.
I am more than what was done to me.
I am more than what I have lived through.
I am a whole and beautiful human being,
And my story is still being written.
Part of healing from narcissistic abuse is learning,
Or relearning,
That you are allowed to protect yourself.
Boundaries are not walls built from bitterness.
They are fences built from self-respect.
Let's say these words together in your heart or out loud.
I have the right to set limits on what I will and will not accept.
I have the right to say no without explaining and without apologizing.
I have the right to walk away from anything that doesn't feel safe.
I have the right to protect my peace.
I am learning to tell the difference between love and control.
I am learning to tell the difference between care and manipulation.
I am building a new relationship with myself,
One that is rooted in honesty and respect.
My body knows,
My gut knows,
And I am learning to listen.
Healing from narcissistic abuse is not a straight line.
It spirals and it circles back.
Some days feel like you've arrived.
Other days you wonder if you've moved at all.
This is normal.
This is how healing works.
Know that just by being here today and honoring yourself with these words,
You are healing.
Once again,
Repeat these after me in your heart or out loud.
I give myself permission to heal at my own pace.
I do not owe anyone a timeline for my recovery.
Some days I will feel strong.
Some days I will grieve.
Both are allowed.
I am not behind.
I am exactly where I need to be.
Every day,
I release a little more of what was never mine to carry.
Every day I make more room for peace.
Every day I choose myself,
Even in small,
Quiet ways.
I am resilient and I keep returning to myself.
The love you experienced in that relationship may have felt intoxicating at times,
And yet,
Deeply unsafe.
Narcissistic love is often a cycle.
First,
You're placed on a pedestal.
Then you're torn down.
And then you're cast aside.
The cycle kept you chasing and giving,
Hoping for more,
Hoping for something different.
Hoping to be seen.
Real love is different.
Real love is steady and consistent.
Real love never asks you to shrink.
You deserve real love,
In friendship,
In family.
In partnership.
And most of all from yourself.
Let these words settle softly as you repeat them.
I am worthy of love that is steady and kind.
I am worthy of love that comes without conditions.
I am worthy of love that builds me up instead of tearing me down.
I am learning to love myself with the tenderness I have always deserved.
I speak to myself with compassion.
I tend to my heart with gentleness.
I am my own safe harbor.
At my own pace,
I am opening to safe and loving connection.
And now,
As we begin to close our practice,
Let's take one more slow deep breath in.
And gently let it go.
In a moment,
I'll offer you a final set of affirmations,
A handful of truths to carry with you.
You can repeat them with me or simply let them settle in.
And if it feels right,
You may place your hand on your heart.
I have been through something hard,
And I am still here.
I am not defined by how someone else chose to treat me.
I am healing in my own way,
In my own time.
I am worthy of love.
I am finding my way home to myself.
I am going to be okay.
And now let's take one final deep breath together.
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And gently let it go.
Know that you can return to this practice as often as you need.
When you wake up in the morning.
In a quiet moment during your day.
Or in the stillness of the night before sleep.
Each time you practice,
The words will settle a little deeper into your heart.
You are not alone in this.
Healing,
True,
Lasting healing is possible for you.
I believe that with my whole heart.
Please be extra gentle with yourself today and in the days and weeks to come.
Thank you so much for practicing with me today.
I'm sending you so much love and tender wishes for your healing,
Dear one.
May love and light fill your heart.
May love and light fill your mind.
And may love and light be with you always.
Until we meet again Namaste.
