Welcome to our meditation for clearing the emotions of the past.
Let's bring our palms together,
Rubbing them at the heart center,
Stretching the spine up tall,
Whether you're sitting on the floor or in bed or in a chair trying to make the spine as tall as possible.
Press the palms together in a prayer at the center of your chest,
The heart center.
Tuning in with the mantra,
Om namo,
Guru dev namo,
Three rounds,
Bowing to the truth and the wisdom that resides within.
Inhale deeply to begin.
Om namo,
Guru dev namo.
Om namo,
Guru dev namo.
Om namo,
Guru dev namo.
Inhale deeply.
Through the mouth,
Exhale.
And then keeping the hands in prayer,
Just separate the palms and the tips of the fingers are already connected and you have your mudra.
Holding this little tipi shape at that center of the chest,
The heart center.
You can even imagine that there's a ball of light between the palms.
Eyes closed back down,
Either focusing at the tip of the nose or up between the brow at the third eye point.
I will start us counting the breath,
Giving you the pace for the pranayama as we go into this meditation.
Inhaling,
One,
Two,

Four,

Continue in this pace,
Filling your lungs from the belly,
Letting the navel point extend out as you inhale deep.
Letting that belly sit full as you hold the breath.
Letting the belly contract back as you push the air out.
Letting that slow and steady pace with the breath,
Controlled and conscious the whole time for the next seven minutes.
Seeing if you can keep the mind focused on the breath.
Giving yourself an opportunity to become fully present to this moment where the past is not disturbing you or your existence.
Inhale,
One,
Two,
Three,

Hold,

Self-discovery takes a curiosity,
Takes a willingness,
Takes a discipline to go through the layers of the mind.
To get beyond the limitations of our thoughts that want to stop us,
That want to limit us.
That want to keep us anchored to our past.
So often our past is part of our identity.
And to let go of it is scary because who would we be without it?
But self-discovery is about finding out exactly that.
Who would you be if you were totally free?
Stay committed,
Stay focused to your breath.
Hearing the sound of the mantra,
Allowing it to help carry you.
Exhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Exhale,
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
You're over halfway.
Stay with it,
Stay strong and focus.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Guru,
Ahé Jiyo.
Exhale.
Last time,
Inhale deeply.
Hold the breath.
Try to straighten the spine.
Exhale and relax the posture.
Just be in this moment.
Feel the sensations of your body,
Maybe the calmness of your mind,
Of your being.
And know that this is who you are.
This purity,
This quiet,
This peace,
This is your true nature.
Everything else is triggers of the emotions.
And when we can remember this true nature,
In the middle of the triggers,
We can return home without expending so much energy.
Let's bring our palms back together,
Back to that prayer at the heart,
And we'll just close with a long sat nam,
Sealing this practice as we bow to our truth and our true identity.
Inhale deeply.
Sat nam.
And just simply bow your head to your palms and thank your mind,
Your consciousness,
And your body for coming together,
For taking time out of the busyness of your day and your life to connect with what is true and what is real.
My prayer is that we can all walk through this world as our authentic selves.
So may this day or this evening be blessed,
Be connected,
And be peaceful.
Thank you for joining me for meditation and sat nam.
