All the incredible creatures throughout our planet that use the mystery of light to communicate.
And imagine now that you can see it all.
You can see the chemical reaction that creates bioluminescence from mushrooms,
Fungus,
Fireflies,
Many many fish,
Marine creatures,
Even sperm whales.
I just imagine now for a moment,
Millions and millions of species that use light and they use the light to communicate,
To attract,
To protect,
To predate,
To communicate amongst themselves or with other species.
In fact,
In some regions of the earth,
Fireflies,
For example,
Light up at the same time and in sequence and so too with other species.
So just imagine now you're either under the sea,
Scuba diving or walking in the forest at night and you see these unbelievable lights.
Usually green but not always,
Sometimes even red or blue.
And they pulse and they flicker on and off.
And there's not just one if you look carefully,
Usually there's many.
Take a moment and see this symphony of light however you might imagine it.
And now realize that this symphony of light is happening all the time in the caves of the world,
In the oceans and in the nighttime sequence as it passes around the earth.
Wave after wave after wave,
The bioluminescence lighting up,
Communicating in ways we have never imagined.
Feel the lighting up of the planet,
Sense that this lighting is another form of consciousness,
A conscious attempt to communicate with your own species or other species,
A vital part of these creatures' lives as much as conversation is with ours.
So listen to the conversation now of bioluminescence.
And here's the beauty of it,
The complexity of it,
The variety of it.
From bacteria to whales quite a spread and everything in between in the air and the water,
Off on the ground,
This magnificent expression of nature's beauty and delight,
Lighting up our world in ways we never thought possible,
Communicating.
