Take a nice couple of deep breaths please.
Adjust your posture to be comfortable if you haven't already.
Let your monkey mind fade just a bit.
Ground yourself in your body.
Our body is always present even though our minds may not be.
So as you breathe just feel your back,
Your legs,
Your feet on the ground.
Put your weight into your frame,
Your skeleton.
Come with me today on our journey to clearing for the new.
As we record this journey it's almost the end of the year 2020.
Challenging,
Difficult year for many people.
I'm sure most people are planning for something new into 2021.
Something better or different.
But in order to let the new in or to open up to new possibilities,
We sometimes need to clear out the old.
Could be from this past year,
Could be from yesterday,
Could be from centuries ago.
So why don't you take a moment now and just ask yourself,
Fill your way into what needs clearing.
To give you a visual image,
Imagine that the future is a stream of water flowing into the unknown and yet to be discovered.
And that the past,
The so-called past,
Is the stream behind you.
And look back and see what might be blocking the flow of that water.
A log here,
A rock there,
Some garbage over there,
Who knows?
The angle of a hill.
You decide.
That image helps you.
Take a moment and see which of those things in the stream behind you you're ready to let go of.
It's almost impossible for human beings to let go of everything,
Especially all at once.
So don't try to do that.
Just pick one or two things that are hanging on you,
That are particles that are perhaps not serving you anymore if they ever did.
And bring them into your consciousness.
You can see them in the stream and see what they are.
Just take a moment and pick one or two things now.
And as you state that to yourself or discover it,
I want you to imagine that you are the stream.
You are the water.
Sometimes what happens to us is we think we are the objects in the water.
The log or the rock.
The water.
The water.
The water.
The water.
As we think we are the objects in the water,
The log or the rock,
Or the thing that's blocking us.
So when we have something we're hanging on to that it's time to let go,
If we have identified ourselves to it,
Connected to it,
Perhaps obsessed about it.
So see if you can now empty the stream.
Let it become completely clear and open and flowing as much as possible.
There will be bumps and logs and rocks further on,
But they can be dealt with as well.
So now as you think about the future and the new and the opening and the unmanifest potentiality waiting to be discovered,
Feel yourself like a stream that is getting faster and clearer,
Almost singing with the joy of it.
Just take another moment and feel that possibility,
Clearing out behind,
Opening up in front.
And as you do that,
Feel the cool chill of the water,
The evaporation above it,
The excitement as the stream begins to turn a corner into the unknown.
Perhaps there's a waterfall,
Perhaps there's a pond.
Who knows?
The excitement of the unknown rather than the fear of the unknown.
And as you do that,
Continue to let go of that which is holding you back.
Let it melt away,
Let the water melt it away.
Let the water melt it away.
I caught water on ice.
And as you do that,
Hold those things,
Feel the stream of potentiality of the new flowing through you,
Flowing through every cell in your body,
Reaching out into the unknown,
Into the waiting to be discovered,
Into the possible.
And as you continue to melt and let go of the old,
The clearing,
Forgive yourself and thank those objects,
Those so-called obstacles,
Because you've learned lessons from them where you couldn't let them go.
Let them go.
And if lessons are arising to you now into letting go,
Fine.
But in a sense,
At the same time as you let them go,
You thank them and you welcome them for having been in your presence.
And now you continue down the stream,
Clear,
Empty,
Full,
Excited,
Anticipating into the new,
Into the new year by the light of the full moon,
Into your future as you wish to be.
And so too,
Imagine that everyone is doing that,
Everyone in this call and everyone in this journey,
All of humanity opening to their future potential,
Having cleared substantial things in the past.
And feel your body now without the weight of that baggage,
Lighter,
More open,
Ready to receive.
And when you're ready,
Give thanks,
Come back to the room and have a wonderful day.
