This ancient yogic pranayama is designed for healing, pain relief, and relaxation. It is inspired by the Goddess Gayatri. Learning Mahad Breath (from my other track) will greatly improve your results with this practice. 20 minutes, 2x daily for 40 days is recommended.

Welcome to this practice.

Today we'll be practicing Savitri Healing Pranayama,

Time-tested over thousands of years and known to be a healing breath.

We will be oxygenating the body with the inhale,

And on the exhale,

We will be releasing whatever it is that we don't need and detoxing.

So this will be a three-part breath,

Starting with an inhale into the low belly,

Blowing it up like a balloon,

Then bringing it up into the ribs so you can feel them expand,

And then imagine bringing the breath all the way up into the collarbones.

So that will be one long,

Smooth breath in,

And one long,

Smooth breath out.

Our inhale will be for a count of eight,

We will hold at the top for a count of four,

Exhale for a count of eight,

And hold out for a count of four.

Let's begin.

Please come into a very comfortable seated position,

And do your best to stay fully present throughout this process,

And I will be guiding you.

Let's begin with exhaling all of our breath.
