Hello and welcome beautiful Insight Timer community.
Today we are on day 10 of our 12 Days of Gratitude Journaling.
And this morning as I was laying in bed,
I was thinking about things I was grateful for.
For one,
I'm grateful that I work from home because my alarm clock goes off in the morning and I'm not rushing to get in the car and commute anywhere.
I'm getting up slowly,
I'm enjoying snuggling with my puppy who's still in bed.
Yes,
He has taken over my bed.
My husband leaves the house by 6 a.
M.
So I confess I'm not a morning person.
I sleep till 8 and I kind of take my time and I enjoy my quiet time in the morning.
I love seeing the sun come up.
Well,
Okay,
The sun's already up by 8 o'clock.
But I love turning towards these huge windows in the bedroom and just seeing the sun shining.
So every morning as I'm waking up,
As I'm slowly getting out of bed,
I'm thinking of all the things that I am grateful for.
And for some reason today I thought about a trip that I had taken with my son when he was 14.
My son is now 30 and he's a dad himself.
I was recently divorced and one of my sons decided he was gonna take a spring break with me.
The other one decided he wanted to stay with his dad and that was fine.
So my son and I took a trip to San Francisco.
It was my first time taking a trip alone,
Just my son and I.
My other son decided to stay with his dad.
And I just felt like it was the beginning of a brand new life for me and literally having been divorced,
It really was.
So that trip holds so many special memories for me and I thought today as a gratitude journaling prompt,
We could write about a place that we would love to visit again because that for me has always stood out in my mind as a place I'd love to go back to.
Just to see it now from a different perspective.
So I decided to pull a card from Denise Lin's Sacred Traveler Oracle Cards.
Another deck that I'm a huge fan of.
I pulled a card and I got Reaching Your Destination.
Your light is shining brightly and if anyone here knows me well,
You know that one of the things I love to end my journaling with is shine bright like a diamond.
So seeing this phrase,
Your light is shining brightly,
This card was speaking to me already.
The card meaning,
All your hard work and effort is paying off.
Glory,
Triumph,
And success are yours.
If you've given your power away,
Now is the time to reclaim it.
It's time to stand in your own light.
A destination is less of a place but more of a new way of seeing the world.
Your dreams are moving to fruition.
If you have any incomplete projects or unresolved relationships,
This is the time to complete them.
This is an important part of reaching your destination.
Take time to celebrate and acknowledge your successes in life.
The Sacred Traveler wants you to know the voyage was long and there were many adventures along the way.
But as you trek towards the destination,
There's a feeling of joy and celebration.
It's important to stop and rest.
Congratulate yourself for who you are and for what you've done.
The Traveler forgives those who on the voyage were less than honorable.
Release any feelings of resentment,
Fear,
And sadness that you may have gathered along the road.
You've reached your goal.
Let everything else go.
You are a majestic being who can bring light into the hearts of others.
Celebrate and honor yourself.
You are so worth it.
What a beautiful card.
And what a perfect card for a journaling prompt.
Because once again,
I am reminded of my divorce that was a long time ago.
And I'm happy to say that I've remarried and am with a wonderful person now.
But I grew a lot from that first marriage and those experiences.
And there were times I was hard on myself because if anyone listening here has children,
You know that the decision to end a marriage when children are involved is very hard,
Very painful,
And carries often a lot of guilt.
However,
In retrospect,
I know that I made the best decision for all of us.
And my life has come 360 degrees into a much better situation.
I've grown.
I've learned a lot.
And I am very grateful that I made that tough choice back then.
So I'm going to get back to our journaling prompt.
I'm going to put some music in the background.
We're listening to Blossom Violet's beautiful music,
Of course.
What else would I listen to?
Her music just lifts me up to a place that I can't even begin to describe.
It just brings me so much joy.
So let's think about a place that you've been to that you would like to visit again.
Or if there isn't a place you want to visit again,
Let's think about a place you'd like to go to.
And let's get some gratitude journaling done.
All right,
My friends,
Let's get started.
All right.
So I hope you had an opportunity to think about where you would like to go,
Whether you're visiting for the first time or you'll be revisiting.
I would love to hear about it because one of the things I would love to do is more traveling.
So please feel free to reach out,
Share in the comments.
Let me know where you've been,
Where you want to go again,
And let me know why that place is so significant for you.
And let's meet back here tomorrow for day 11 of our 12 days of gratitude journaling.
Until then,
My friend,
Shine bright like a diamond and have an amazing day.
