A Year Of Journaling With The Violets - Week 44

Over the next 52 weeks, we'll use journaling as a tool for deep self-discovery—a chance to reflect, embrace, and shape your future with honesty and without fear. Each week, a new Oracle card provides a prompt to guide you, but remember, this is your journey. There are no rules. Take what resonates and leave the rest. Hello and welcome beautiful Insight Timer community.

Today we are on week 44 of our year of journaling.

So as always,

I pulled a random card from the Cosmic Journey Oracle by Yanique Silver and I got number four.

Ask wonderfully,

Receive graciously.

Congratulations,

You are ready to fully receive exactly what you want,

But only if you ask.

Too many of us are stuck in the habit of giving and being of service,

But this is only one half of the infinite dance.

Allow others to experience the joy of giving and serving you.

It's time to ask.

Ask wonderfully and receive graciously.

Knowing what you receive will be multiplied a thousand fold through your greater vision.

Imagine the entire world created to fulfill exactly what you need when you ask with cheerful expectancy and in alignment with your highest purpose.

Life is like a room service menu,

Waiting your delivery instructions.

You just need to ask.

And our journaling question,

What is my highest desire right now?

How can I joyfully ask for it?

So I love this card.

Besides being number four and we're in week 44,

I have a live coming up this week about being able to receive and being able to ask,

Which is something that I struggle with.

I'm not good at asking for help.

I'm not good at asking for donations ever,

And I'm honestly a little uncomfortable when I get them.

Not that it's a bad thing,

But I don't know how to,

I guess,

Receive it graciously without feeling like I shouldn't be.

And I was thinking the other day that this stems from upbringing and,

You know,

What my parents taught me.

We were never allowed to accept money.

And if a relative stopped by and tried to give you money for whatever,

Candy,

We were not allowed to accept it.

Somehow it made you seem like you were needy or you were asking or you were begging.

So I think that's where my block comes with receiving.

So I love this journaling prompt and this card and this question,

And I'm excited to do a little journaling about it.

So let's put some time on the clock and let's do some journaling.

I think both are great.

I think if you are confident enough and okay with asking and receiving,

I would love to know how you do it.

I was thinking and I wrote about the fact that I used to have a hard time accepting compliments,

But thanks to a lot of the things I've learned on Insight Timer and through other spiritual teachers,

I've gotten much better at that.

I was one of those people who,

You know,

If you complimented something that I was wearing,

I'd say,

Oh,

You know,

This old thing,

Not a big deal.

But now I just graciously accept it with a thank you,

Same as I do with donations and anything else.

However,

I still struggle with asking and I still have a little bit of discomfort in that area.

So that's something I need to work on.

This year has definitely flown by for me.

How funny, I have switched back to receive mode only today. I have been generating and co-creating with AI for the last five months - to great effect. Today, I decided that I must write alone again and receive ‘instruction’ from my guides. The first instruction was to journal with you ... love it when we pay attention to nudges and they pay dividends. Just loving journalling weekly with you ... and wondering what happens after 8 more ... you know they could be retransmitted on that ‘stacky’ platform.

This time the cosmic question initiated a poem:
I want to breathe the air and know that’s all I need.
I want to stare up at the stars and wonder
I want to walk through the forest and marvel at the flowers and the trees
I want to watch the water ebb and flow and know I am part of that dance
I want to create knowing this time is for me
I want to be open to receive all the universe has to offer me
Without guilt
Without shame
With gratitude
and love
