Over the next 52 weeks, we'll use journaling as a tool for deep self-discovery—a chance to reflect, embrace, and shape your future with honesty and without fear. Each week a new Oracle card provides a prompt to guide you, but remember, this is your journey. There are no rules. Take what resonates and leave the rest. Whether you prefer pen and paper or a digital format, scripting, doodling, or writing, the key is to engage and enjoy the process. We'll be using Yanik Silver's "The Cosmic Journey Oracle." This week's card: #21 "Polish Your Mirror for Perfect Clarity"! Background music by my friend, the incredible Blossom Violet was recorded LIVE on January 7, 2025. Be sure to follow her for more beautiful piano tracks! I've also included her music in my journaling playlists, which you can find here on my teacher's profile, at the bottom of the "Home" tab.

Hello and welcome beautiful Insight Timer community.

Today we are on week 13 of our year of journaling.

So I pulled a card from our Cosmic Journey Oracle by Yanique Silver and I got number 21,

Polish Your Mirror for Perfect Clarity.

So I opened up the book and here's what he has to say about this card.

Everything you see around you is a perfect reflection of where you are on your path.

Yes,

Everything.

Our material universe is designed to be a symbolic likeness of what is created on a spiritual plane.

Your relationships are a way to see into this mirror.

Think of the relationships you cherish and characteristics you adore in certain people,

Such as your heroes and mentors.

The good news is that these same aspects are in you as your golden shadow.

The reverse of this is also true.

The most difficult aspects of certain people are the aspects of yourself that you haven't embraced or seen fully.

This card calls for you to become more honest,

For your actions and words to always reflect your true self.

By doing so,

You become more of a clear mirror and your relationships will reflect even more peace,

Joy and contentment.

Remember as well that relationships are not just with other people.

They are with food,

Money,

Alcohol,

Work,

Etc.

And his question for this journaling prompt is,

In what ways am I pleased with what my mirror is reflecting in my life?

And in what ways am I seeing turmoil,

Frustration and chaos?

Wow,

What a great prompt.

I had a couple of odd experiences,

I guess we should call them,

With people recently that left me,

I don't know,

Speechless,

I guess.

Just sometimes people can be so,

I guess,

Blunt and not really thinking about how their words impact other people.

So now I'm wondering,

Was that for me to think about ways I've been that way?

It's possible.

I try not to.

I try to be considerate in how I deal with other people and thoughtful in how I speak to them.

But let's get real.

At one point or another,

We all slip up.

So maybe those experiences were a reflection for me to think about.

And I also thought maybe those experiences were teaching me how to say no.

Because in both cases,

I felt like the other person was putting me in a position where I had the opportunity to say no.

No,

I don't accept this.

No,

I won't tolerate this.

No,

I'm setting boundaries.

So there's another way of looking at it.

As for the part where people in your relationships that you admire reflect something back that you have already,

I love that.

Because I can think of a lot of qualities I love in other people.

And to think that I,

Too,

Possess those qualities that I love in them?

Who doesn't love that?

All right,

Friends.

So let's put some time on the clock.

Let's listen to Blossom's inspiring,

Beautiful piano music.

And let's ponder on this question.

In what ways am I pleased with what my mirror is reflecting in my life?

And in what ways am I seeing turmoil,

Frustration,

And chaos?

Let's get to writing.

All right,

My friends.

I hope you got a lot of great thoughts out on your journal this week.

And by the way,

I do love number 13,

Seeing that we're on week 13.

Because it makes me think there was a time where we were all so scared of the number 13.

It didn't have great connotations.

I don't feel that way anymore.

I feel like 13 is a good number.

It's a great week.

I've learned a lot this week.

And I am so grateful for those lessons,

No matter how hard they may have seemed at the time.

So I hope that you're feeling the same way.

And I look forward to hearing what you took from week 13.

And I look forward to seeing you next week for week 14 of our year of journaling.

Until then,

I hope you're having an amazing day.

And I hope you're having an amazing week.

And if you're not,

Keep polishing that mirror.

This one really resonated with me as I realized that tre negative characteristics I see in my relationships are mirrored back to me when I don’t set boundaries and say”no”.

Beautiful reminder to keep polishing the mirror so we can reflect loving kindness inwards & outwards to the world! ☺️🌸🪞✨

What reflects well is what I am doing off Insight Timer. My new alchemical school is shaping up nicely and the New Reality TV founders are completely transparent and receptive to all suggestions and ideas. This is so refreshing. What is blurred and indistinct? Where Insight Timer is going, I feel it has lost its way and, as a result, I cannot see my future with the app clearly. Most of this is poor communication with teachers and a lack of acknowledgment of teacher requests for functionality. What would clear the fog is if we knew when the direct to teacher model was to be released and get a sneak preview of the planned functionality, which is currently surrounded in mist and fog. Some years ago, I suggested they should have a ‘non-exec’ Council of Twelve teachers, 6 female and 6 male, that they could consult with - entirely unpaid. Like all suggestions, this has fallen on deaf ears. The only good news, that they have shared is they have turned the corner financially so this gives a platform on which we can at least draw some income, even at a lesser amount.
