Welcome,
Today we're talking about a very important topic for healers.
Respecting energy boundaries Whether you're a professional healer or simply someone who helps others with their emotional or physical well-being,
Understanding and respecting energy boundaries is crucial.
First of all,
What are energy boundaries?
Think of them as invisible lines that protect your personal energy.
Just like you have physical boundaries to protect your body,
Energy boundaries protect your mind and spirit.
I'm sure you've walked into a room and felt the energy,
Whether it's joyful or if there's just been an argument.
We pick up energy from others and it's our boundaries that allows others from intruding.
So when we work with others,
It is a partnership.
The client sets the pace and the permission is granted at every step.
As healers,
It's not ethical to dip into someone else's energy.
For example,
If you're tapping into someone else,
Then go and write a poem about them.
Bad move.
Practices that overstep,
By those who are not trained or new in the healing practices,
Can be damaging to the relationship.
When you're helping someone,
It's easy to get deeply involved in their emotions and issues,
But it's essential to remember that everyone has their own energy space.
Respecting these boundaries helps both you and the person you're helping.
So here are some simple steps to respect this.
Be aware of your own energy levels and feelings.
Before you start a healing session,
Take a moment to check in with yourself.
Are you feeling balanced and centred?
Set clear intentions before working with someone.
This could be as simple as saying to yourself,
I am here to help.
I will not absorb the energy.
Speak to your client.
Obtain their permission to tap into their energy and reassure them that you will not speak about this to anyone.
Visualise a protective barrier around yourself.
Imagine a bubble of light surrounding you,
Keeping you safe and intact.
After a session,
Take time to cleanse your energy.
This could be through meditation,
A bath or spending time in nature.
As a healer,
Self-care is not selfish,
It's essential.
You can't pour from an empty cup.
By taking care of yourself as well as your client,
You can assure that you continue to help others more effectively.
Understanding these boundaries benefits everyone.
It helps you stay healthy and the client to feel empowered knowing that they have their own energy space respected.
Thank you so much for listening today.
Remember,
Respecting energy boundaries is a vital part of healing.
Take care of yourself so that you can continue being a light for others.
