Transcript

Begin by taking the next few moments to prepare for yoga nidra.

Become as comfortable as possible by lying down on your back in shavasana and focus on the symmetry of your body and the points of contact between your body and the floor.

Scan your awareness around the subtle points of contact starting with the back of the head,

Right shoulder blade,

Left shoulder blade,

Right elbow,

Left elbow,

Right hand,

Left hand,

Right buttock,

Left buttock,

Right calf muscle,

Left calf muscle,

Right heel,

Left heel.

Feel all the muscles in the whole right leg,

Whole left leg,

Whole right arm,

Whole left arm,

The front side of the torso,

The back,

Shoulders,

Neck,

And head.

The whole body together.

Envelope your awareness around your entire body and watch the spontaneous motions of the natural breath.

Feel all the muscles involved in the act of breathing,

Expanding with the inhalation and relaxing with the exhalation.

Full deep breathing.

As you continue watching the breath passively,

It becomes increasingly more smooth and rhythmical like the gentle ebb and flow of waves along the seashore,

Rising up and back down the body,

Graceful,

Soothing waves of the breath,

Re-energizing and revitalizing every cell of your entire body with every breath.

Listen to the quiet sounds of the breath flowing through the nostrils and nasal passages.

Listen intently to the natural sounds of the breath.

Now,

Take this moment to consider your intention for accessing the Akashic Records.

What is it you want to expand your awareness of or deepen your understanding for?

Write your intended purpose three times silently.

And now,

Feel the heaviness of your right hand,

A wave of heaviness spreading from the right hand thumb to the second finger,

Third,

Fourth,

Fifth finger,

Palm of the hand,

Back of the hand,

Wrist,

Lower arm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

And shoulder,

Armpit,

Waist,

Head,

Shoulder,

Hip,

Thigh,

Back of the thigh,

Right knee cap,

Back of the knee,

Shin,

Calf muscle,

Ankle,

Heel,

And sole,

Top of the foot,

Right big toe,

Second,

Third,

Fourth,

Fifth,

Fifth,

Fifth,

Fifth toe,

The whole right side of the body.

Become aware to the heaviness of the left hand,

Heaviness spreading from the left hand thumb to the second finger,

And shoulder,

Armpit,

Waist,

Head,

Shoulder,

Bringing your awareness to the crown of your head,

Feel the heaviness of the forehead,

Right eyebrow,

Left eyebrow,

The center of the brows,

Right eyelid,

Left eyelid,

Right eye,

Left eye,

Right ear,

Left ear,

The nose,

Tip of the nose,

The right eye,

Left eye,

The right solar nostril,

Left lunar nostril,

Right cheek,

Left cheek,

Upper lip,

Lower lip,

And the chin,

Throat,

Pit of the throat,

Right collarbone,

Left collarbone,

Left collarbone,

Right chest muscle,

Left chest muscle,

The sternum,

Upper abdomen,

Navel,

Lower abdomen,

Abdomen,

And the groin,

The whole right leg,

Whole left leg,

Both legs together,

Both legs together,

The whole right arm,

Whole left arm,

Both arms together,

The front side of the body,

Back side of the body,

Both the front and back sides together,

The shoulders,

Face,

Right side of the head,

Left side of the head,

Back of the head,

And the top of the head,

The whole body,

The whole body together,

From the top of the head to the tips of the fingers and toes,

Awareness of the entire physical body and the spontaneous motions of the breath.

Bringing your awareness to the nostrils and feel that you are consciously drawing the breath in from outside of you through both nostrils evenly.

The breath begins separate,

Flowing in through both nostrils evenly and uniting at the brow center.

See a ball of light where these two currents of the breath meet at the brow center.

And now visualize that you are alternating the breath between the two nostrils in the following manner.

In through the left,

Out through the right.

In through the right,

Out through the left.

In through the left,

Out through the right.

In through the right,

Out through the left.

And continue counting in this manner with full awareness to each and every breath.

The purpose is not to arrive at any number,

But to continue the counting to assist you in remaining present and intimately one with every breath.

Should you lose count or become distracted,

Return to one and continue.

Now drop the counting and the mental alternate nostril breathing and feel the breath flowing evenly through both nostrils together.

And now bring your awareness to Mooladhara Chakra at the pelvic floor.

Experience the element of Earth,

The stability,

Strength,

And support of physical life that is Earth.

Ascend your awareness up to the region of Swadhisthan directly back from the pubic bone and feel the element of water,

The nourishing,

Creative,

Playful,

And joyful bubbling ecstasy of water.

Again ascend your awareness up to the region of Manipura directly back from the navel and feel the element of fire,

The warm,

Bright,

And dynamic power of fire.

Now ascend up to the region of the Heart Chakra on a hot directly back from the sternum and feel the element of air,

The expansive,

All-including,

All-embracing,

Loving element of air.

And now ascend your awareness up to the region of Vishuddhi Chakra directly back from the pit of the throat and feel the element of space,

Akash,

The communicative,

Self-expressive,

And all-pervasive element of space.

Again ascend your awareness to the region of Agnya at the brow center and become aware to the element of mind.

Believe your current state of mind from the higher perspective of the inner self,

The seer that observes the mind.

Extend now to the Crown Chakra,

Sahasrar,

At the top of the head and become aware to the element of consciousness,

The fully expanded universal consciousness in which we all share and are each a unique expression of that pure consciousness beyond the ego that is identical in all forms of sentient life.

And now continue ascending even higher,

About half a meter or 18 inches above your head,

And experience an orb of white light,

As cool as the moon,

But brighter than a thousand suns,

Emitting cool light all around you.

Sparks of white light are raining down upon you from above.

And as you merge your awareness with this orb of light,

You are merging into the group mind of the collective consciousness.

Here individual consciousness is fusing with the universal.

Recall your intention for accessing the Akashic Records,

The same one you mentally repeated before.

Now see the orb of white light beginning to descend down towards your body,

Entering through the crown of the head and illumining inner space.

The answers to your questions may be seen in the form of symbols and visions in the heart.

Feel the energy continuing to descend into the region of Akash in the throat.

You may wish to put a voice to any visions or feelings you are having by allowing yourself to randomly speak and verbally explore what you are receiving from Source.

Feel the orb of white light continuing to descend into the space of the heart within the cavity of the chest directly back from the sternum.

Here in the heart space,

You can feel the energy of the orb of white light shining like a thousand suns in the core of your chest,

Allowing you to receive insight and higher knowledge from a sense of knowing and feeling within the heart.

Continue.

Continue focusing on the orb of light shining brilliantly within the space of the heart and become receptive to all feelings within the heart space as well as to any visions within the mental space of Chittakas.

Being silent,

Still,

And receptive.

Release all expectations and all attachments.

Just allowing yourself to intuitively receive all answers from within.

Now,

Release the orb of light from within the heart.

Seeing it again ascend up through the throat and head and back to its original location about half a meter above your head.

Feel a sense of gratitude for the absolute as your awareness now descends back into the crown chakra.

Feeling universal consciousness divide back into your individual consciousness,

Which merges with the element of mind at the brow center,

Ajna,

Space at the throat chakra,

Air at the heart chakra,

Anahat,

Fire at the solar plexus chakra,

Manipura,

Water at the sacral chakra,

Swadhisthan,

And returning back to earth at the root chakra,

Muludara.

Imagine becoming aware to the body and the senses.

Externalize your awareness to the five senses and your surrounding environment.

Create a mental image of your surrounding environment and a mental image of your body.

Both see and feel your physical body lying in shavasana.

Feel the points of contact between your body and the floor as well as the symmetry of your body.

Feel the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you as well as the symmetry of your body lying on the floor.

Very gently,

Begin to re-initiate movement with your body.

And whenever you are ready,

Begin to stretch and open your eyes to end this session.

The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

Awesome! Only thing I’d say is maybe an extended version of this would be good to make where we can stay with the orb in our hearts longer to receive akashic information more fully, but just an idea to explore as I dunno if that would help or not.
