Welcome to group guided meditation.
I'm hoping you're having a wonderful week.
You're going to sit up nice and straight and close your eyes.
My invitation to you is to follow along with my voice as we walk through this guided meditation together and take a deep breath in.
And exhale all the air out.
And again,
Take a deep breath in.
And exhale.
And one more time,
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Know that in this moment,
All is well.
Bring your awareness to your heart now in the center of your chest and notice a softness there,
A feeling of peace.
And take a moment to enjoy this feeling as you quietly focus in on your heart and follow your breath in and out.
Imagine you've come to a point in your life where you need to pull up roots and set off to a new home.
It could be that there's an opportunity that's calling you or it might be something is pushing you,
Forcing you to leave.
And imagine you're walking backwards towards your destination so that you're facing the home you're leaving,
Not the one you're moving toward.
It feels quite difficult to walk backwards for a long time and it's hard to see where you're going.
But on you go,
Always looking backwards.
Imagine looking at a globe and tracing your movements as you travel halfway around the world as far as you can get from home and still looking backwards.
When you finally arrive at your new home,
Everything feels off,
Not quite right,
And you miss your previous home.
Nothing about this new place pleases you and you sink into a feeling of longing for your past.
And so you go to sleep and you dream about your old home and all the things you enjoyed.
Then your dream changes and you're looking at the outside of your new home and you notice that honeysuckle vines have grown around your front door.
The vines are blooming and have the sweetest,
Most intoxicating scent and you become filled with a bright,
Happy feeling.
You walk inside and in your dream,
A tree begins to sprout right in the middle of your living room floor.
Its roots go deeper and deeper and it grows taller and taller,
Forcing its way through your ceiling and branches out in all directions.
Then the tree flowers and then bears beautiful fruit and you taste that fruit and it's the most delicious thing you've ever tasted in your life.
And then you awaken from your dream.
There you are in your new home.
It's not your old home,
But it doesn't feel quite like your own yet,
But now you have a desire to make it yours.
It may take time to put down roots and it may take time for your life here to blossom and bear fruit,
But you can still smell the sweet honeysuckle scent,
Taste the delicious flavor of the fruit and you feel magically connected to your new home,
To your new life.
You don't feel like you want to go backwards anymore.
You want to embrace where you are right now in your life.
Need it be a new home,
A new job,
A new relationship.
You know right now that you deserve to be happy and you know that things that are happening moving forward in your life are moving you toward your happier life,
Your happiest life.
Take a moment to be grateful for you,
Grateful for your life and take a deep breath in and exhale all the air out.
And take another deep breath in and exhale all the air out.
And one more time,
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Come back into the space that you're in and when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
Good.
That's a great meditation to do if you are moving forward in a direction in your life and you're scared and oftentimes we'll look back and we'll think about the great life we had before.
So this meditation helps a person move forward and look forward while they're doing it.
Okay.
You're everything you're looking for.
