We begin the set say Today I will continue speaking and working with the aspect of ourselves that is somehow complex to understand but really in essence it is not so difficult when we put spirituality in practice and that's what it takes.
It takes sometimes a lot of practice to come back home to this wisdom that is present beyond learning that is present beyond understanding of mundane aspects that is present beyond anything that we have learnt just by being here on earth the wisdom that is inherent in our bodies,
Inherent in that physical structure that constitute our bodies not just the physical body as we know it or relate to this aspect hands,
Face,
Feet but the physical structure that is behind such and understanding spirituality is useful of course in the beginning it is useful because it helps you to clarify what life is all about and what you want to do with life and how you want to live your life but understanding is not enough.
In the end understanding is just another aspect of the mind and it doesn't satisfy that depth or that yearning that comes from deep deep within the body within that structure and that structure of course is always the body,
The physical space that we live in is always trying to manifest itself in a more expansive way so whatever comes in motion or in movement that prevents that expansion from happening that allows for distraction from that sense of wisdom that we are deeply yearning for so it is very important to understand that time and the aspect of time that understanding sometimes likes to put into a format for the mind to follow is not always the wisest but understanding from that perspective that is limited through time and through space does not always truly answer our deep deep questions hence why meditation is very useful because it goes beyond,
Deep deep meditation goes beyond time and beyond physical limitations of space.
It is a glimpse of an eternal moment that happens quite spontaneously simply because it is there,
It is an aspect of ourselves that we come back home to but this takes a lot of time and being who we are,
Humans,
And we have to admit sometimes that we have a human nature and acknowledge that that human nature is reality,
It is one thing to understand spirituality and have lofty ideas about how to live such ideals in the mundane and then the reality is how to live them they are very very different,
The wish to be something and what you are and the wish to be something is useful because it perhaps guides us in one direction but what we are is much more interesting for the spiritual practice what we are is not only more interesting for the spiritual practice but is the spiritual practice so when you come to that understanding that when we look at ourselves and look at the situation in this perspective when you understand that deeply then meditation isn't about results meditation isn't about following a system that your mind understands meditation is not about trying to go to a place that your understanding sees as better meditation is dropping down to who you are and that of course validates the beautiful moment of experience and often when we come back down to that deeper essence or that deeper space within ourselves then who we think we are which is part of the problem,
Who we think we are drops very easily but it takes time,
As I just mentioned we are humans and so we have created a solid reality through the belief systems that we inherit and we live who we think we are rather than from that beautiful truth of who we really are who are we?
You may ask yourself what am I?
You know already you are not what the mind believes yourself to be you are not that limitation,
You are not that negativity but you are human so if that limitation and that negativity plays out its function in this reality of experience then you can't simply push that aside,
What can you do?
Meditation is simply being,
Observing the situation allows you to be without giving energy to anything and allowing the energy of truth that is living in this moment that is your essence to gently whisper its messages through to this experience of the mundane that is where strength is,
That is where power is when we allow for this beautiful spontaneous unfolding or blossoming to happen being human we have to understand one thing,
That is we understand that things sometimes need our patience our sense of okay we need to go through a process,
We need to go through a transformation we need to allow for this spontaneous space to unfold in its own beautiful time following its own beautiful destiny rather than push ourselves too much this doesn't mean that we just sit back and relax and say okay whatever is meant to happen I'll let it happen and sort of detach from the activity that is spiritual practice not at all,
It's rather the opposite,
Doesn't mean that we have to push ourselves to be something because that comes from the same basic idea,
That belief system,
That we have to do something if we drop the I have to then the power that is inherent within yourself that doesn't come from the space of I have to but comes from the space of I am allows for its beautiful manifestation to unfold in your human aspects in your mind,
In your emotions,
In your body,
Your essence begins to speak to you the understanding that is required is that the mind needs to keep repeating to itself the mantra of I am living life as it's meant to be,
I don't need to add anything more to it from this space of limitation I can allow destiny to unfold and from the space of awareness unfold to where I'm meant to be this gives the mind a sense of deep relaxation,
Deep stillness that is a deep stillness and deep relaxation where you don't have to do anything where you don't have to push yourself,
Where you don't have to run around in that hectic stressful way that takes you nowhere because the running around is in a circle when you let that go there is a stillness,
That stillness is symbolically a shade I call this the shade that allows you to sit under the intensity of the fire that allows for transformation the fire and the heat that allows for transformation to happen,
You sit under the shade under the beautiful shade that allows for the meditation to continue in a very clear and powerful way to move you forward to the space that is free,
That is more free than you can imagine through your belief systems you know if you look at symbolism Buddha sat under the beautiful tree of enlightenment the tree that allowed for the Buddha to live out not only the destiny of who he was meant to be in his lifetime but also the many destinies and the many aspects of destinies that were not quite understood by anyone around including himself,
Sitting there in meditation under the shade of the beautiful tree meaning allowing the stillness that comes from letting go of effort created the Buddha the name the Buddha created the space of enlightenment Kabir speaks about this in a similar way,
He says that this tree is inside of you this tree or the potential to allow this tree to grow is inside of yourself this beautiful seed is inside of yourself but it can't grow unless you do something very very special that is not push the seed around from one place to another hoping that it will grow here and trying over there doing whatever else that your mind actively is pushing you to do because that activity seems from understanding like the right thing to do no,
The seed needs to be honored because you know within the seed is the tree of life the tree that gives shade to the space of your consciousness that then grows and merges into oneness with the supreme soul that is there the trust that is required for the seed to grow is the trust that allows time to go beyond the constrictions of the mind that requires patience,
That seed needs to simply be observed,
Looked at observed from that sense of not wanting to know if it will grow,
Trusting that it will grow into this beautiful beautiful tree and when you trust this beautiful tree it will grow from that seed and be destined to be what it's meant to be the seed has a destiny within it and this is why Kabir says as the seed is within the banyan tree and within the seed are flowers,
The fruits and the shade so the essence within the body and within that essence the body again when we begin to go deeper into meditation it becomes very complex,
Things are not as simple as the mind likes them to appear to this reality that we see as the reality we are living in beyond this body of space,
There are many bodies but they only become apparent when that body is understood when the body that we are in,
In this moment,
This physical body and the space that we are creating around this physical body is understood when this is understood,
Not through the mind but through allowing the body to open up in the same way as the seed opens up when it is in fertile ground open up and become this beautiful aspect of manifestation,
Become its potential then within that potential,
Within the understanding of that potential there will be more births that is what happened to the Buddha,
The Buddha understood his destiny in this world and gave up on all the desires,
Gave up on all the aspects that his father the king and all the people around him so strongly believed him to be,
He understood he was more,
Just like you deep inside of your heart understand you are more than your belief systems,
You are more than what you think there is something more inside and that is the seed that grows with the awareness of letting go of belief systems and trusting the more,
That trust only comes from within itself doesn't come from the periphery of belief systems but it comes when you just sit there in stillness and allow for destiny to unfold,
Allow for the seed to grow without attachment to anything except for looking at the beauty as it grows and allowing that beauty to shade your consciousness so that from within the realization of that,
That is beautiful,
From within that realization other realizations happen,
Meditation then goes very very deep,
It is beautiful to go to that depth,
Not many people have the courage to do this,
Not many people have the wisdom to do this but this is what we are here for,
We are here to allow the seed to grow,
We are not here to run around in circles,
We are not here to try to do anything,
We are not here to pretend or to wish for or to hope for or to feel disappointed by the fact that we have hoped and it hasn't happened yet,
We are not here to play those karmic games,
We are here to allow something deeper to grow and it is possible,
The seed is within every human being,
Every person is born,
There is potential within themselves,
This potential is part of what makes you who you are all you have to do is trust that potential,
That is all you have to do,
It is so easy yet so difficult when all our energies are caught up in other situations,
In other aspects of life but it is easy once we understand that all we have to do is trust and we taste that feeling that comes from trusting that the seed,
The potential is within us once our heart senses this space,
There is no going back,
Then the heart is awakened to the potential and when the heart is awakened to the potential,
It knows just like the lover knows the beloved there is no way back,
You may distract yourself once in a while because you are human,
You may fall into various ego traps that are thrown by your mind and the aspect of desire that comes from the mind but it won't satisfy you in the same way as the beloved,
It won't give you that feeling that the beloved gives you,
It may be an interesting scenario to explore or to experience but it is not as permanent as the beloved once this experience happens and that memory deep within the heart allows for the seed to grow,
Give it time to grow just like you give love time to mature,
Just like you give love time to expand,
To understand that love is beyond understanding,
That love is an experience in this moment and to trust yourself enough to let go in this moment so that the beloved is there embracing you,
So that the seed is growing,
Shaving shaving not just you but the union that is happening inside of you,
Trust,
Practice this in your calming over today,
Understand from your practice what this means,
