Welcome,

Let's begin our daily meditation practice for cultivating inner peace,

Calm and happiness.

Take a moment to find a comfortable position and sit upright with your spine naturally aligned or lie down if that feels better for you today.

Just slightly lengthen your crown up and gently relax your shoulders back to open your heart and allow your hands to rest gently on your knees or in your lap.

And as you're feeling supported by the earth beneath you,

Just let your body begin to settle in and when you're ready,

I invite you to gently close your eyes.

Then,

Bring your full attention just to the simple act of sitting and feel the contact of your body with the cushion or the floor and allow yourself to arise in this moment with openness,

Curiosity and kindness to yourself.

We'll simply now bring our attention to the awareness of our breath.

We'll take a pleasant inhalation through the nose and a gentle,

Slow exhalation through the nose and then just let the breath to come back to its natural rhythm and follow your breath as it moves naturally in and out through your nose.

No need to change or modify.

Just observe your breath and allow your breath to be your grounded foundation.

With each inhalation and exhalation,

Just allowing your body and mind to become more and more at ease.

Next,

We'll go on a journey around the body and we'll scan the body from the top of the head to the tip of the toes.

Just guide your awareness to your forehead.

Allow it to soften and relax.

Guide your awareness to your neck and shoulders and allow them to release and relax.

Guide your awareness to your arms,

Hands,

Fingertip and just allow them to soften and release.

Shift your attention to your chest.

Allow it to be open and relax.

Allow your belly to soften with each conscious breath.

Then we'll just shift our awareness and notice the lower body,

The hips,

Thighs,

Knees and allow the relaxation to flow into the shins,

Ankles,

Feet and the toes and just feel a peaceful relaxation just flowing through all of your body.

Feel your whole body resting,

Alert and at ease.

Then we'll take a moment just to return to the breath and notice how you're feeling mentally,

Emotionally and physically and then just realize that even a few minutes of meditation will deeply rest your body and mind and return you to a place of inner peace,

Clarity,

Calm and balance.

And this is the power of meditation.

So I invite you to guide your awareness back to becoming aware of your physical body.

Just become aware of the environment you're in.

Slowly start to gently wiggle the fingers and the toes.

We'll start to move the body and when you're ready you can gently open your eyes and returning refreshed,

Revitalized with more clarity,

Inner peace and calm.

Thank you for practicing with me and taking this time for yourself.

I look forward to guiding you on a journey of inner peace and happiness real soon.

Wonderful. Short enough to fit in during the day to remind myself to stay spacious. Thank you.
