In this meditation, we will activate the 7 chakras and kundalini by using the secret and now hidden Shakta seed mantras of the chakras. Lost in time and only recently recovered from ancient manuscripts by researcher Christopher Tompkins, in this meditation I will introduce you to an alternative and perhaps more original set of mantras to activate the 7 chakras.

Welcome,

Seekers of inner peace and spiritual harmony.

Today,

Let us embark on a transformative journey through the sacred realms of the Self as we explore the ancient wisdom of the secret bija mantras of the chakras.

As we gather in this sacred space,

Take a moment to find a comfortable position,

Allowing your spine to straighten and your body to relax.

Close your eyes gently,

Turning your focus inwards.

Feel the gentle rhythm of your breath,

The life force that connects you to the universe.

We will delve now into the mystic world of the secret bija mantras of the chakras.

We will delve now into the mystic world of the secret bija mantras of the chakras.

The seed sounds that resonate with the energy centers of the body.

Normally,

You would know these mantras as Lam for the root chakra,

Vam for the sacral chakra,

Ram for the navel chakra,

Yam for the heart chakra,

Ham for the throat chakra,

And Aum for the third eye.

And I have introduced to you before the Shaiva versions of these mantras with an H in the beginning,

And in this meditation,

I want to bring to you another version of these mantras,

A version that is so unknown that until today,

There is only one researcher that has uncovered a text that describes these mantras.

So I'd like to give a thanks to Christopher Tompkins,

Who has uncovered this information and has brought it to light.

In his writing,

He writes,

In his research,

He found a manual which described the regular bijas of the mantras,

But ascribed different vowels to them.

We're used to only using the A sound with these mantras,

But it appears that at least in one version of this meditation,

There are different vowels that are assigned to these mantras.

The different vowels that together,

Make up the Aum sound.

In Sanskrit,

The sacred language of the tantras and vedas,

We have short and long vowels.

The short vowels,

And the long vowels,

A,

I,

U,

AI,

AU.

The long A and the long I,

Are simply twice as long as the regular A and I.

What our meditation today tells us to do,

Is to attach each one of the long vowels to one of the chakra bijas,

Making Lam become Laam,

Vam become Veen,

Ram become Room,

Yam become Yain,

A combination of A and E,

And Ham become Haum,

A combination of A and U.

And this will be followed by Aum for the third I.

So now,

Bring your attention to the root of your spine,

And in the area known as the Muladhara,

Emit the sound Laam.

Notice that the mantra does not end with the sound M,

But with the nasalization of the sound done with the teeth slightly apart and the mouth slightly open,

And pushing the air through the nose.

Next,

We go to the Svadhisthana,

The sacral chakra,

Located above the genitals,

With the sound Veem.

Next,

The Manipura,

The navel chakra,

Room.

Next,

The Anahata,

At the level of the heart,

Yain.

The Vishuddha,

At the level of the throat,

Haum.

And finally,

Aum,

Will start at Ajna,

The third I,

And will raise us up into the Sahasrara,

The crown chakra,

And beyond.

Aum.

For more information about the pronunciation of Aum,

Please see my course on meditations with Aum.

Now,

Let us put this all together.

We will start with taking small breaths between the enunciation of each mantra,

And after some time we will shift over to announcing all the mantras in a single breath.

Let's begin.

I enjoy bija meditation and am always seeking out new ones. I have never heard someone make such resonant sounds by just themselves! I like the idea that these sounds potentially hadn't been heard or practiced for a SIGNIFICANT amount time. I am fascinated with accurate, untainted spiritual traditions & practices of long ago, when we were attuned to the forces around us and were okay with the idea of something bigger than us, that it took seeking beyond man & the physical to reach fulfillment.
