In this practice, we begin by undergoing a restorative breathing practice. This is followed by a profound point of view shift where we begin to imagine we are viewing our reality from up in the sky, watching powerful energy flow through our body.

Let's breathe in for a count of four.

Four counts on the inhale.

Just hold it for seven counts.

Six,

Seven.

Big exhale for eight through the mouth.

Seven,

Eight.

Four on the inhale.

Big inhale through the nose.

Just hold for seven.

Feel all your thoughts fall away.

Letting our presence deepen.

As we exhale,

Everything we don't need,

Big exhale through the mouth for eight counts.

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

Now fall into the rhythm of the breath.

Just letting the breath iron out any kinks in our posture.

Create space up and down the spine,

Straightening the spine.

Expanding the abdomen on the inhale.

And drawing it in and forcing there up and out on the exhale.

Just letting the breath do its job.

Pulling us into focus,

Into stillness.

This picture,

Clear blue sky,

Everywhere around us,

Above,

Horizon to horizon.

Just open sky everywhere.

Rather than being on the ground looking up at the sky,

Our point of view is from up above.

Mentally chanting to ourselves,

I am the sky,

Watching all weather move through me.

I am the sky,

Watching all weather move through me.

So pay attention to what's showing up for you.

If the clouds and any storms represent our thoughts and emotions,

What does your sky look like?

I am the sky,

Watching all weather move through me.

Notice that there's no right way to do this.

There's only our ability to observe.

Observe the movement,

Thoughts and emotions.

Observe our ability to not get attached.

Just watch the sky.

Let's bring our focus back to our breath,

To the room we're seated in,

To this beautiful day laid out ahead of us.

This helped me to stay in the here and now. Which is something I focus on everyday. Being aware of breathing and what doesn't belong to me I let go. Thank you for this short meditation.
