Please join me to learn what Laughter Yoga and Tapping are all about,
Why it's beneficial to combine them,
And how to tap.
Tapping,
Which is also known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique,
Utilizes ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology with the physical act of tapping on meridian points while verbally working through an issue.
The foundation of tapping was created in 1980 by a psychologist named Dr.
Roger Callahan,
And it was further developed into a more user-friendly form by Gary Craig in the 1990s.
Laughter yoga is a form of exercise that combines unconditional laughing with deep yogic breathing.
Laughter yoga was created in 1995 by a medical doctor from Mumbai,
India named Dr.
Madan Kataria and his wife,
Maduri,
Who is a yoga instructor.
Both modalities can help reduce stress,
Tension,
Anxiety,
And depression,
Lower cortisol,
Boost energy,
And so much more.
Now,
Let's learn the EFT tapping points.
Use your fingertips to firmly but gently tap on the nine points.
You can tap on either or both sides of your body.
We'll start with the karate chop point,
Which is the outer side of the hand at the center of the fleshy part.
We only tap this point at the beginning of a session while we're setting up our intention.
Then we'll go through the rest of the points multiple times,
Starting with the eyebrow point,
Which is where the eyebrow begins near your nose.
Next is side of the eye on the bone outside the corner of the eye.
Then under the eye on the bone.
Next is under the nose on the groove above your lips.
Then move to the dip of the chin,
Which is the crease under your lips.
That is followed by the collarbone point,
Which is about an inch below your collarbone and an inch from the center.
Then we'll do under the arm,
Which is on the side of your body,
About three inches below your armpit.
And finally,
The top of your head.
So awesome.
Now that you know all of the points and you've got an idea of what this is all about,
Come join me for a tapping laughter meditation.
Thank you so much.
Please laugh on.
