Hello and thank you for joining me for this guided visualization.
If you haven't already done so,
Go ahead and make yourself comfortable.
Either finding a seated position with your hips slightly higher than your knees or maybe lying down with your head supported by a pillow.
And if you haven't already done so,
Go ahead and close down your physical eyes.
Starting to find some full belly inhales and complete exhales.
And as you breathe here,
Just starting to notice how everything in your body starts to become a little heavier.
Really just supported by the surface below you.
Taking in one more full complete belly breath in and complete breath out.
And allowing your breathing to fall back to its natural rhythm,
Its ebb and flow.
Now in your mind's eye,
Starting to visualize a small cabin in the woods.
You see this cabin before you,
Lit inside by a warm fire and candles.
You take a moment to just notice the natural beauty of the space and of the cabin.
Noticing the trees,
The season,
The weather.
And you slowly start to make your way towards the cabin door,
Feeling the earth alive beneath your feet.
And as you walk up the steps,
The door gently opens.
An old woman is standing there and she ushers you to come inside.
You feel a sense of comfort here and agree and move in through the cabin door.
She closes the door behind you and makes a space for you in front of the fire.
You take a seat and she covers you with a blanket.
You feel a sense of knowing,
Like you've known this woman your whole life.
A relationship,
Connection to her.
She moves about the cabin,
Placing some herbs into a cup,
Preparing a tea for you to share.
And then as you sit,
You feel the warmth of the fire on your face.
You take in the surroundings,
Noticing the roof,
The floors,
The walls.
You feel comfortable here.
You turn your gaze back towards the old woman and she makes her way towards you,
Two cups of tea.
She hands you the cup of tea and you smell it.
And you take a moment to thank the earth for her gifts and for this medicine in the tea.
The woman takes your hand and asks you to close your eyes.
You feel a sense of trust and security here.
So you offer her your hand and you close down your eyes.
And as you breathe,
The woman starts to show you visions of your next steps,
Where you must go from here.
You open your eyes and ask her,
How do I get there?
What am I supposed to do?
She gently smiles at you,
Tells you to close your eyes once again and to breathe in and breathe out.
She encourages you to ask yourself,
What do I need to do to get there?
What are my next steps?
And as you breathe,
You become open to receiving the guidance from your intuition.
You gently open your eyes.
The old woman smiles and she reminds you that you already know what you need to do,
Where you need to go.
She takes her hand and places it over your heart.
She smiles and says,
You just need to trust.
You take a minute and start to notice tears rolling down your eyes.
Like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
You feel a sense of relief and it's okay to trust your heart.
Knowing that you already know exactly what to do,
Where to go and how to get there.
She takes your cup of tea now empty and walks it back to her counter.
She comes back,
Takes your hands and brings you up into a standing position.
Holding your hands in hers,
You notice how soft and caring they feel.
She pulls you in and gives you a big hug.
They wrap your arms around her old frail body.
She takes a step back and points towards the door to the cabin,
Which has now opened.
You look at her and smile and you thank her for her wisdom.
You place the blanket on a chair beside you and you slowly make your way out of the cabin.
Knowing you have everything inside you that you will ever need and knowing it is okay to trust your heart and your intuition.
And as you walk down the stairs from the door,
Back out into the woods,
You notice it has begun to rain.
You smile holding out your hands,
Feeling the raindrops catch in the palms of your hands.
You turn your gaze up to the sky.
You smile and allow the rains to wash any other hesitation,
Resistance or blocks that may be holding you back from your next steps.
And then you slowly begin to walk back towards the woods,
Away from the cabin,
Knowing you know exactly where to go and how to get there.
Starting to bring your awareness back to your physical body,
Taking in a full belly inhale and a complete exhale.
When you are ready to,
You can gently open your eyes and start to bring in your surroundings.
Just noticing the objects in the room,
Any sounds you may hear.
And when you feel ready to,
I encourage you to maybe grab your journal and a pen and just write down any messages you received from your elder or from your own intuition.
Any guidance you feel called to write down so you can come back to it.
