Welcome.

Find a position that is relaxing and comfortable for you and begin by closing your eyes.

Gift yourself the next few minutes to simply relax and let go of the busyness of day-to-day life.

Simply be.

One of the best things to do when you are stressed or anxious is quite simply to focus on your breathing.

This meditation is about as simple as any you'll ever experience.

Simply start to focus your attention on the breath.

Feel your body relaxing with each breath.

Allow a calm expression to spread across your face as any tension begins to subside.

Now simply breathe in deeply,

Hold for a second and exhale slowly.

And this time as you breathe in deeply,

Really fill your lungs with cool,

Relaxing fresh air and then exhale slowly.

Release a sigh.

On the next exhale,

Signaling to the body it is time to relax.

And let go.

The power of the breath lies in paying attention to it.

By paying attention to the breath,

You're simply focusing on the present moment.

Feel your body relax with each in-breath and notice how any tension begins to subside and leave your body with each out-breath.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Allow yourself a few moments to simply focus on the sensation of your body as it naturally rises and falls with each breath.

Be totally at ease with any thoughts,

Feelings or sensations that may arise.

Simply return to the breath and permit them to pass by.

Use the breath as your anchor.

As you return to the breath this time,

Feel a sense of relief,

A sense of calmness and inner peace.

Remember this breathing technique simply involves following your breath.

Feel free to practice this exercise throughout the day.

When you're ready,

Begin to gently flicker your eyes until they are opened in your own time.

Have a wonderfully mindful day.

Thank you- I especially like how this breathing exercise is different from the rest because you exhale with an open mouth instead of pursed lips. It helps me to relax and release so much more quickly and effectively. If I were to give any constructive criticism, I'd love if you did the breath modeling up front so I would be doing it correctly the whole meditation. πŸ™πŸ’Ÿ

Thanks. So anxious I'm nauseous today. I'm not sure I could have handled anything longer, but by the end of this short & simple sit I was - well - better.
