Hello,
This is Gabriella.
Welcome to today's guided walking meditation to help you ease into Monday.
Oftentimes we can start to feel restless as Sunday night evolves and Monday morning appears.
And while Monday will appear,
Whether we're ready for it or not,
I invite you to take control of your new Monday by aligning your energy through this beautiful meditative walk.
I also invite you to enjoy the sounds of the ocean at sunrise at beautiful Carolina Beach,
North Carolina.
This walk is not an ordinary walk.
It is one that is intended to align your energy to those beautiful sensations and feelings that you wish to bring with you into this new Monday.
In addition to finding your natural rhythm and cadence with your walk,
I will guide you to use a specific mudra or hand posture and a specific mantra to enhance this meditative walk.
In addition to the mudra and the mantra,
You will typically allow your breath to be a natural flow that feels good to you.
You're welcome to align your inhale and your exhale with your natural step and cadence throughout this walk.
A mudra is simply something that we do with our hands.
For this meditative walk,
We are going to tap our fingers together,
Applying about three to five pounds worth of pressure as we gently guide our thumb across each finger.
So first,
You will take your thumb and your pointer finger and gently apply pressure between the two.
You will then move to the thumb and the middle finger and again apply pressure.
Next,
Move your thumb to the ring finger and apply pressure.
Last,
Move your thumb to touch the pinky finger and apply pressure.
So the rhythm will be in alignment with your steps.
First,
Thumb and pointer.
Next,
Thumb and middle finger.
Now,
Thumb and ring finger.
And now,
Thumb and pinky finger.
Then you will return back to applying pressure between the thumb and the pointer finger and repeat the entire process throughout your walk.
You will do this mudra with both hands at the same time,
Touching the same thumb and pointer finger on both hands,
Thumb and middle finger,
Thumb and ring finger,
And thumb and pinky as you walk.
Once you feel comfortable with the hand movement,
You can incorporate a very beautiful mantra.
This mantra uses the primal sounds sa,
Ta,
Na,
Ma.
And these sounds represent a whole cycle of death and rebirth.
So essentially,
We are moving through the beautiful cycle of life with every step that we complete.
As we prepare to incorporate the mantra with the mudra,
You will bring the thumb and the pointer finger together as you mentally chant sa.
Next,
You will move to the thumb and the middle finger as you mentally chant ta.
Next,
You will move to the thumb and the ring finger as you mentally chant na.
Lastly,
You will move to the thumb and the pinky finger as you mentally chant ma.
Let's practice that one time together.
As you reach the cadence that you would like to follow with your natural step,
Make sure to align your steps with the movement of the fingers and the internal mental chanting of the vibrations of the primal sounds.
Are you ready to practice?
Let's begin.
Take a nice deep inhale through the nose and exhale through the nose.
Begin finding your natural step.
Don't worry about the mudra or the mantra right now.
As you find your natural rhythm,
Find the time when it starts to feel good to incorporate either the mudra,
The mantra,
Or both.
I will now guide you to begin the movement of the fingers.
Continue with the finger movements.
Continue with the internal chanting.
Continue as you find your rhythm to this beautiful meditative walk.
As we conclude our walk together,
I invite you to take a nice deep breath as you let go of chanting the mantra in your mind and as you let go of taking a step aligned with the mudra.
Slowly begin to return to your natural cadence and walk as you begin to absorb the surroundings around you.
You're welcome to take a nice deep inhale as you breathe in the energy of the new mandi allowing you to feel grounded,
Supported,
Aligned,
Energized,
And on purpose to the tasks you wish to handle today.
Take your time.
Enjoy the sounds of the waves and welcome to your beautiful new Monday.
