This Yoga Nidra guided meditation practice is designed to guide you into deep rest while supporting healing,
Self-trust,
And inner transformation.
As your body relaxes and your awareness expands,
You are invited to trust the quiet unfolding already happening within you.
Welcome to the Mindful Movement.
I'm Sarah Raymond.
Let's begin.
I invite you to make yourself comfortable where your body feels genuinely supported.
Let the surface beneath you do what it's meant to do,
Which is hold you completely.
Close your eyes and begin to turn your attention inward.
Simply notice that you have arrived.
To this practice,
To this moment.
To this particular version of yourself that has shown up today.
You are welcome here exactly as you are.
Receive this intention and let it settle into you like a seed dropping into warm soil.
I trust my own unfolding.
I trust my own unfolding.
You don't need to believe it fully yet.
Simply let it land.
We will return to it at the end of this practice.
Notice your breath.
The way it moves in,
And the way it releases.
Your breath has been with you your entire life.
Faithful and steady.
Asking nothing and giving everything.
When you bring your awareness to it.
Something in you begins to settle.
Like soil after rain.
Let your attention move through your body with warm curiosity.
Notice your feet resting on the support beneath you.
Your legs,
Your hips.
The weight of your body as it rests and releases.
Feel the length of your spine.
And let it be exactly as it is.
Your hands,
Your arms,
Your shoulders.
If there is tension anywhere,
Simply acknowledge it.
Let it be seen.
Bring your awareness to the space around your heart.
This is the place in your body.
Where you feel things most deeply.
Where life lands.
Where experience becomes meaning.
Breathe into this space.
Your body is wise.
It has always been wise.
And this is a practice of listening to the intelligence that has been at work within you all along.
Something is already happening inside you,
Even in this stillness.
Something that only asks you to be present and willing to receive what is already on its way.
Feel the ground beneath you as something trustworthy.
This is where we begin.
Now allow your awareness to move through a series of opposites.
Nothing to figure out.
Simply feel each one as it is offered.
Then let it go.
Feel heaviness.
The full weight of your body sinking into the ground.
Now feel lightness as if your body could float effortless and unbounded.
Feel warm.
Spreading through your chest,
Your belly,
Your hands.
Now feel coolness.
Fresh and clean.
Moving through you like open air.
Feel effort.
The familiar sensation of bracing,
Of working hard.
Now feel ease.
Everything softening without being asked.
Feel the sensation of being closed.
Drawn inward,
Held tightly.
Now feel the sensation of opening.
A gradual unfurling,
Like petals of a flower beginning to bloom.
Now stay with the openness.
Spacious and expansive.
And let it all go.
Rest in the expansive awareness.
That can hold all of these without becoming any of them.
This is the sky.
This is you.
Bring an image of a flower bud to mind.
And let it settle into you slowly.
The way light moves through water without force.
Imagine this flower bud in the earliest days of spring.
Not yet open.
Not yet showing what it will become.
From the outside,
It might appear still.
Even dormant.
But the stillness on the surface tells only a fraction of the story.
Inside that bud,
There is extraordinary activity.
Nutrients moving upward through the stem from roots drinking in the dark.
The warmth of the sun being received and absorbed.
And translated into growth that has not yet made itself visible.
Everything that flower will become is already present inside.
Held in sacred compression.
Waiting not to be created,
But to be revealed.
Sit with us.
Everything it will become is already present within it.
Notice if any part of this feels familiar.
If somewhere inside you,
This image resonates with something you already know.
The work happening inside you is real.
Even when it has no visible shape yet.
There is a process already underway in you.
Faithful,
And unhurried.
Moving forward on its own intelligence.
It only asks to be received.
To be trusted.
This is what it means to be in a season of emergence.
Not the dramatic moment of opening.
But the long,
Sacred preparation that makes the opening possible.
The bud does not berate itself for not yet being a flower.
It simply continues.
Drinking in what nourishes it.
Orienting toward warmth.
Trusting a process it cannot direct,
Only welcome.
And you get to do the same.
Receive.
Orient.
Welcome.
Your work this season is to tend the conditions.
To cultivate the inner environment of trust and receptivity.
Here,
What is already true about you can begin to show itself.
At its own perfect pace.
You get to be the one who says yes to your own unfolding.
Every living thing that grows develops a kind of shelter.
Around its most tender center.
The bud has its outer leaves cupped close.
Holding the flower inside until the time is right.
This is wisdom.
Life knowing exactly how to protect what matters most.
See if you can sense your own forms of shelter.
The places in you that learned to hold carefully.
To monitor.
To keep certain things close.
You may feel them as a familiar guarding.
A habit of watching before opening.
A vigilance that has lived in your body so long,
It feels like simply the way things are.
However they appear,
Let them be here.
There is nothing to change.
There is only seeing.
These parts of you were faithful.
They showed up when you needed them.
And did not leave.
Whatever they cost you,
They kept something precious inside you safe enough to survive.
To grow.
And to arrive at this very moment.
This is worth acknowledging with the full weight of your attention.
A softening comes from inside now.
Because what it was protecting is ready.
This is what it feels like to move from protection to trust.
You are safe here.
You have always been moving towards this.
Allow your awareness to expand now beyond the room you are in.
Into something wider and more open.
Imagine the sky above you.
Vast.
Edgeless.
Holding everything beneath it with complete equanimity.
Clouds move through it.
Weather comes and goes.
And through all of it,
The sky itself remains exactly what it is.
Present.
Spacious.
Unchanged by whatever passes through.
You are like the sky.
The thoughts that move through you.
The fears,
The tensions,
The stories.
These are the weather.
They are real and they are temporary.
You are the awareness that notices them.
The open space in which all of it rises and passes.
From that space comes the felt sense of being held.
Of warmth moving toward you as reliably as sunlight moves toward every living thing.
A plant simply orients toward the light.
Something in its deepest nature knows the direction of warmth and it moves there.
Doing what it was made to do.
It trusts that the light will come.
It simply turns and receives.
There is a light already moving in your direction.
And you,
Like the plant,
Already know how to receive it.
Let your sense of who you are soften and expand.
Just enough to include the possibility that you are larger than your story.
Wiser than your fears.
And more luminous than anything that has ever tried to dim you.
Simply let it be possible.
There is a kind of knowing that lives in your body.
A recognition that arrives through felt experience rather than thought.
It is the knowing that comes when something true is spoken.
And your body responds before your intellect has a chance to evaluate it.
There is a settling.
A sense of rightness.
A full body yes.
Let your awareness drop into your feet,
Your legs.
The base of your spine.
Recognize that you are strong.
You are sturdy.
You are rooted.
Consider what the roots of a plant actually do.
They work in darkness,
In soil.
In the underground where nothing is visible.
They don't look like strength.
But everything that blooms above the surface is made possible by what is happening below it.
The roots are the reason the flower can open.
The years of honest work.
The courage to keep showing up.
The practice of turning toward yourself with curiosity.
The willingness to sit with your own complexity and keep moving anyway.
These are your roots.
Deeper than you know.
Holding more than you can see.
Feel the reliability of that.
Sturdy and open.
Rooted and rising.
The underground and the open sky held in the same body.
In the same breath.
In this very moment.
Trust is not something you arrive at.
It is something you are already practicing.
Every time you choose to stay present.
Every time you turn toward your own life with honesty and care.
You have been building this.
The life you are growing into is already responding.
This is your ground.
This is where you stand as you begin to bloom.
Allow your body to settle even more deeply now.
You have done the work of this practice.
The arriving,
The feeling.
The softening,
The expanding.
Nothing more is required of you than to receive.
Let your breath be natural and easy.
Open the way a flower opens.
Because the conditions are right and the time has come.
You are exactly where you need to be.
Simply listen and receive.
There is a timing to all living things that the mind cannot calculate.
And the heart gets to learn to trust.
You are on time.
You have always been on time.
The bud knows that the most compressed Most held moment is often the very last one before opening.
You are at the edge of your own opening.
You get to stop managing the process and simply be the flower.
Trusting the light that is already arriving.
Everything you need is already inside you.
Like the seed that pressed itself upward through the dark toward a light it had never seen but somehow already knew was there.
You carry the pattern of your own wholeness.
Waiting for the conditions to shift.
And they are shifting right now in this very breath.
You are allowed to take up space.
You are allowed to bloom fully.
Without waiting for permission from anything outside yourself.
The flower does not ask the garden if it is allowed to open.
It follows the light.
Because following the light is its nature.
As it is yours.
Every time you stayed.
Every time you turned toward yourself with honesty.
Every time you got up and tried again.
That was trust.
You are enough.
You always have been enough.
And you are in the sacred,
Unhurried process of becoming more fully what you have always been.
Rest here.
Let the silence hold whatever has just moved through you.
In the days ahead,
You may find it arriving in unexpected places.
A steadiness where you expected to waver.
A knowing where you expected confusion.
A willingness to be seen that surprises you with its ease.
Let your awareness return to your body now.
The breath moving through your body.
The weight against the support.
Receive this intention once more.
In a body that has been opened and made ready to receive.
I trust my own unfolding.
I trust my own unfolding.
Feel that settle into you.
As something you already know.
Take your time as you are returning.
As you move into this day,
Carry the felt sense of the flower bud.
Your roots,
Deep and reliable.
Your stem.
Steady.
Your petals beginning to open.
Turning naturally toward the warmth already moving in your direction.
You may encounter things today that invite the old protective patterns to return.
When that happens,
You get to come back.
Even for a single breath.
To what you now know.
That you are rooted.
You are emerging.
That what appears still on the surface is never the whole story.
You are strong.
You are sturdy.
You are rooted and you are blooming.
Take another long,
Slow breath.
Drawing in everything this practice has offered.
And as you breathe out,
Releasing with genuine ease.
When you are ready,
Open your eyes and let the light of this day be the first thing they meet.
You are emerging.
And the world you are opening into is ready to receive you.
