In this meditation, we will be doing an ancient Hawaiian healing practice called "Ho'oponopono." The word “ho’o” means “cause” in Hawaiian, while “ponopono” means “perfection.” The term “ho’oponopono” can be translated as “correct a mistake” or “make it right." You are welcome to repeat the words, or you can simply sit back, relax, and allow the words to flow through your mind, body, into your soul. Music Credit: (Letting Go) by Christopher Lloyd Clarke. Thank you for listening to Liberate From Your Past meditation.

Before you begin the session,

Please ensure that you are not driving or attending to something that requires your attention.

At any point throughout the session,

If you are feeling any discomfort or overwhelmed from emotions,

Please stop the exercise and just relax yourself.

In this meditation,

We will be doing an ancient Hawaiian healing practice called Ho'oponopono.

The word Ho means cause in Hawaiian,

While ponopono means perfection,

And the term Ho'oponopono can be translated as correct a mistake or make it right.

Throughout the session,

You will hear me repeating four phrases of words.

I'm sorry,

Please forgive me,

Thank you,

And I love you.

You are welcome to repeat the words with me or you can simply just sit back,

Relax,

And allow the words to flow through your mind,

Body,

And into your soul.

Let's begin.

Find a space around you where you can relax fully without distraction.

Anytime you are ready,

Slowly begin to close your eyes.

Bring your awareness to the tip of your nose,

Watching your inhale and your exhale going in and out of your body.

Begin to notice if there are any thoughts going on in your mind.

Without giving them too much attention,

Slowly bring your awareness back to the tip of your nose.

Begin to notice any tension at any parts of your body.

Adjust yourself if you need to,

And slowly bring your awareness back to the tip of your nose.

Begin to slow down your inhale and your exhale.

Each time you inhale,

Breathe all the way down into your belly,

Breathing in slowly through your nose.

Feel your lungs and your belly expanding,

And slowly exhale out.

Just allow your breath to flow back out through your nose,

Letting go of any tension or stress you might have been holding on to.

Inhale in,

Expand your belly,

Exhale out,

Pull in your belly and empty all the breath within you.

Inhale in,

Expand your belly,

Exhale out,

Empty out all the breath within you.

Inhale in,

Exhale out.

Inhale in,

Exhale out.

Allow your body to relax even more.

Inhale in,

Exhale out.

I am sorry,

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

I love you.

All right.

Slowly take a deep inhale in.

Hold your breath there.

Slowly exhale out.

Take another inhale in.

Exhale out.

Still keeping your eyes closed.

Begin moving your fingers,

Your toes.

Moving your hands,

Your legs.

And slowly waking your body up.

Give yourself a good stretch.

Anytime you feel ready,

You may slowly open up your eyes.

Thank you for listening to this meditation.

May love be with you.

May joy be with you.

And may peace be with you.

Thank you.

A really gentle soothing meditation. My knee-jerk reaction in my human experience was to think “repetitive and lengthy” but on closer noticing, it was exactly the right amount of times to hear the mantra and for exactly the right length of time. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.
