This meditation will help you confidently make decisions by balancing your thinking and your feeling.

Often we try to think our way through a decision but our bodies hold so much information to help us make more well-rounded decisions.

We will tune into both of these areas today allowing you to make decisions that are most aligned with your whole truest self.

Take a moment to find a comfortable position.

Soften your gaze and allow your eyes to close if that feels comfortable to you.

Notice the natural flow of your breath,

The inhale,

The exhale,

And the space in between.

Focusing on your breath give yourself permission to enter the present moment.

I invite you to call to mind a task or situation you need to make a decision about.

It can be anything from what to wear today or maybe you're facing something as large as a job change.

I invite you to think of this as a practice.

Once you've called to mind your task,

Hold it in your awareness trying not to label it as good or bad,

Right or wrong.

See if you can be present and objective with it.

Perhaps you visualize it in your mind's eye,

Maybe giving it shape,

Color,

Texture,

Or words if that helps you.

Look at this task as though as you're an observer from the outside without labeling it as good or bad,

Right or wrong.

Simply observe and notice are you feeling this anywhere in your body?

As you call this task to mind I invite you to do a brief body scan and take note without judgment if you might be holding on to this somewhere physically.

Perhaps tension in your shoulders or stomach or somewhere else entirely.

Now call to mind your options around this situation at hand.

Without thinking through details yet,

What are two decisions that you could make?

Option one and option two.

Bring to mind the first decision that you could make,

The first option.

Without judgment,

Allow yourself to see yourself making this decision and carrying it through.

Perhaps you visualize it step by step.

As you imagine this in your mind,

What does this feel like in your body?

Do you notice a particular area of your body as you imagine walking through this option?

Does it feel loose and free or tight and tense or something else entirely?

I'm going to give you a moment to sit with this option in your body.

See that option one more time in your mind's eye and allow it to float away.

Now let's take a big inhale,

Holding at the top,

And a big exhale.

One more time just like that.

Take a big inhale,

Holding at the top,

And a big exhale.

Now let's bring to mind the second decision that you could make.

Allow yourself to see yourself making this decision and carrying it through.

What does this feel like in your body?

Do you notice a particular area of your body as you imagine this?

Does it feel loose and free,

Warm or cool,

Tight and tense or something else entirely?

I'm going to give you a moment to sit with this option,

Turning into your body objectively,

Noticing how you feel with this option.

See that option one more time in your mind's eye and allow it to float away.

Now let's take a big inhale,

Holding at the top,

And a big exhale.

One more time just like that.

A big inhale,

Holding at the top,

And a big exhale.

Now that you've allowed your body a chance to inform this decision,

What is your mind saying?

What are your thoughts around this decision?

What is your heart saying?

What are your feelings around this decision?

Which one is speaking more loudly?

And without overthinking it,

Without labeling it as good or bad,

Right or wrong,

Which decision is more aligned with you today?

What is your choice?

I invite you to practice this as you go throughout your day,

As an opportunity to strengthen this muscle.

Start to bring your awareness back to your breath,

Feeling the rise and fall of your chest,

The rise and fall of your stomach,

Bringing some movement back into your body and gently opening your eyes if they've fallen shut.

I'm coming back into the space.

Thank you for practicing with me today.
