Hello and welcome to today's practice,
The Wave,
Letting Go and Letting Be.
This meditation is part of a series on finding your balance and the everyday hustle.
A series of practical anytime anywhere practices to help you begin your meditation and mindfulness journey and ultimately help you find some inner calm and balance.
So today's practice is about letting be and letting go.
How often do we get overwhelmed by all of the things?
In this short practice,
We'll use a mix of visualization and attention to breath to help us let be and let go.
Wherever you are at this moment,
Take a moment to note the body,
Any touch points,
Feeling supported by the floor,
The seat,
The earth beneath you and bring your attention to your breath,
The simple in and out,
Air at the nostrils.
And as you continue breathing,
Imagine the breath like a wave moving in and down the body and then letting it go.
Inhaling the wave,
Moving through the body,
Envision it moving and washing over you.
Following the rhythm of your breath,
The inhale and the exhale,
The wave of breath washing over and through you.
And as you do this,
Notice any sticky spots,
Any places that you notice tension or tightness.
And you might notice this as you follow the breath like the wave through the body.
And on the next breath,
Send the breath to the sticky parts,
The places of tension and let them go as the breath washes over you in,
Through and out.
Take a few more breaths.
Maybe your mind starts to wander and that's okay.
Bring your attention back to the movement of breath,
Breath like a wave moving over and out.
Let go.
Let be.
Breath like a wave.
And bring your attention to your next inhale,
Maybe lengthening it and deepening as you exhale.
Let go.
Let be.
The wave of breath moving in and clearing out and over.
Let go.
Let be.
And bring your attention back to the touch points,
The ground or seat beneath you.
Feel the breath fill your body and leave the body.
Come to this moment and be right here.
Let go.
Let be.
And I thank you for practicing with me today.
May you be well.
