Hello and welcome to today's practice,

The breath break.

We do not live in a world that often invites us to take a break,

To check in,

Catch our breath,

Rest or fill our inner energy tank.

This meditation is part of a series on finding your balance in the everyday hustle.

A practical anytime anywhere set of practices to help you begin your meditation and mindfulness journey.

Checking in or a breath break is inspired by the three breaths practices in the mindfulness tradition.

Wherever you find yourself you can practice this breath break.

So let's begin.

Take a moment to notice and acknowledge your breath.

The movement of air into the nostrils through the body and then back out.

On your next breath notice your being,

Feelings,

Sensations,

Maybe your feet noticing your hands and then your face.

On this next breath take note of the breath.

What is important right now?

What is my intention in this moment?

And we'll practice this one more time.

Take a moment to notice your breath,

The inhale and the exhale,

Air moving in and out of the body.

On your next breath note sensations,

Note your body moving from the bottom to the middle to the top.

On your next breath ask yourself what is important right now?

What is my intention in this moment?

And that is the breath break.

You can take this practice anywhere in your day.

We always have time for three breaths and one day we take over 23,

000 breaths.

So let's try to notice just three and take a moment to recharge,

Reset and find our balance.

Thank you so much for practicing with me today.

I wish you well.
