Hi,

It's Megan Winkler,

The Brainy Babe.

I'm so happy that you're joining me for this affirmations meditation.

For this meditation,

We'll start with some simple affirmations in the form of I Am statements.

These statements are just three words long and super simple.

After three rounds of three affirmations,

I'll invite you to add your own affirmations to the meditation.

So as you're getting settled and getting ready in your seat,

I invite you to think about which statements you would like to add to this meditation.

And when you're ready,

I invite you to take a seat and gently close your eyes.

And we will begin.

Breathing in and breathing out.

I invite you to take a few moments to tune into your breath,

Just as it's been breathing itself this entire day.

Perhaps you're noting your breath for the first time today,

Or maybe you have been very aware of it.

But at this time,

I invite you to notice how your breath feels as it moves in through the nose,

Down your throat,

Into your lungs,

And back out again.

Breathing and settling,

Just taking a few moments to enjoy this time and enjoy your breath.

In and out.

In and out.

And as you continue to breathe,

I invite you to notice where you feel that breath the most.

Is it in your chest or your tummy?

Maybe it's in the very tip of your nose.

And as you continue to breathe,

You may notice parts of your body settling into the meditation,

Releasing tension.

As your shoulders drop or your hips relax.

And as stillness and this weightiness comes to your body through the breath,

On the next cycle of your breath,

I invite you to repeat the following affirmations in your mind.

I am present.

I am here.

I am happy.

I wonder how your body feels when you say these words to yourself.

Let's say them again.

I am present.

I am here.

I am happy.

And once more.

I am present.

I am here.

I am happy.

Breathing in and breathing out.

As you repeat each affirmation in your mind,

I wonder what colors come into your imagination.

And as we begin our second set,

I invite you to color the words with a color that feels good to you.

I am healthy.

I am strong.

I am whole.

And again,

I am healthy.

I am strong.

I am whole.

And once more.

I am healthy.

I am strong.

I am whole.

Finally breathing in and breathing out.

I invite you to repeat the last set of affirmations in your mind.

I am joyful.

I am peaceful.

I am loved.

Still breathing,

Coloring these words with whatever color you'd like,

Noticing how your body reacts to them.

Let's say them again.

I am joyful.

I am peaceful.

I am loved.

And once more.

I am joyful.

I am peaceful.

I am loved.

Breathing and basking in the glow of the beautiful colors and sensations of these words.

I invite you to take a moment and repeat any of these statements that resonate with you.

I also invite you to create new I am statements for yourself if you would like.

I am and you fill in the blank.

Breathing,

Holding yourself here in this beautiful safe space.

And yourself once again,

I am.

And on the next cycle of your breath,

I invite you to return your attention to your body and the space around you.

Maybe wiggling your fingers or toes if that feels good to you.

And after a few more cycles of your breath,

You can end your meditation.

Couldn't focus on anything today. Not yoga, not breathing, not longer meditations. This one helped me come back into my body and relax into focus.
