The following is inspired by a meditation from Patrick McManaway called,

Activating the Light Body.

The meditation brings our awareness to our heart as the most powerful source of electromagnetic vibration in the body.

Begin by becoming comfortable in your body with your spine upright,

Aligned,

And your heart area open.

Allow your body to make any adjustments to your posture or position that it needs to feel peaceful and at ease.

There's nothing your mind needs to do or make happen during this meditation.

Simply allow your mind to become an observer.

And begin by observing the rhythm of your breathing without trying to control it.

Just feeling the movement of your breath as it passes in and out of your body.

You might notice if your breath is short and shallow or whether it glides fully down the length of your spine.

However it is,

Just observe without judgment and feel as it moves in and out.

And allowing your body on its own to make any adjustments to the rhythm and flow until you can feel a sense of peace.

Sense of peace arising,

Spreading through you.

And invite your mind to rest in a simple sense of gratitude.

Sense of wholeness.

Sense of connectedness.

Connectedness to yourself.

Connectedness to each other here.

Connectedness to those we love.

Connectedness to ourselves,

To each other and all we carry in our hearts.

And bring a simple smile to your face.

Even if you don't feel very smiley right now,

Just allow the smile to come.

Smile at yourself.

Notice the warmth of the smile on your face.

Feel the warmth of the smile as it broadens and deepens.

Dealing with a sense of affection for yourself.

Allowing yourself to feel affection for yourself.

Letting the glow of that smile become warmer and deeper.

And directing that warmth and love into your heart.

Feel your heart's presence,

Its steady beating.

If you like,

You can put your hand on your heart for a moment to help you direct that loving warmth,

The smile into your heart.

Knowing that our energy fields are much larger than we're often aware.

That toroidal flow of energy into and out of our hearts always happening.

And bringing some loving attention to that heart.

And then you can rest your hand down or keep it on your heart,

Whatever you like.

Not allowing the whole body to pick up on that feeling of a smile inside you.

Simply radiating all of that warmth into the center of your chest.

From the soles of your feet,

Radiating warmth and love into your heart.

From the tips of your fingers.

From the top of your head.

Opening your heart to receive.

Feeling the love from your smile and from every part of your body arriving into your heart.

And if you can't feel your own love,

Feel ours.

Feel ours for you.

Let your heart receive that love.

And even if you don't feel anything in particular,

That's fine.

Just stay with the imagery.

Consider a deep glow arising in the center of your chest.

Your heart nurtured by your own love,

By our love.

And notice what it feels like to open your heart to love.

Sometimes we're not used to it.

It can feel courageous to open to love.

And rest into the sensation of being the heart,

Being your own heart receiving.

Even in your sense of your own beingness,

Of being your heart.

The heart is the center of your energy field.

It's the center of your awareness.

It's the point from which your soul expresses itself into the body and on out into the world.

So allow yourself to rest for a moment at the center of your heart radiance.

Feeling how the center of your being is the center of your heart.

Feeling the radiance of your spirit as it glows and spreads outward in every direction.

Radiating into every part of your body.

Feeling the whole of your chest.

Feeling your belly and your pelvis.

Feeling your shoulders and your arms.

Your legs,

Your feet,

Your neck,

Your head.

A glow with the light from your heart.

Your whole body alive and filled with that radiance.

Feeling how your heartbeat is renewing your body,

Renewing your mind and spirit.

The heart is the most powerful source of electromagnetic vibration in the body.

Feel how its radiance actually expands beyond your skin,

Beyond your body.

The beautiful vibrations from your heart filling the space around you.

Your own personal space in the world is created and filled with this energy.

The vibrations of your heart.

The radiant song of you.

The song in the unique rhythm of your own heartbeats.

To allow your awareness of the light around you,

The light from your own heart to become steady.

To become part of your sense of who you are because this is who you are.

And let the energy field from your heart find a restful,

Peaceful edge where it meets the world around you,

Where it mingles with that world and blesses it.

And feel how this glow around you,

The glow of your own heart offers you stability and peace and ease that are always available to you.

And in the hours and days to come,

In your challenging moments,

Moments of change,

Moments of caregiving,

Moments of uncertainty,

Just calling to mind the warmth and radiance of your heart that's always there.

Calling to mind our shared sacred heart space that supports you.

Knowing you can always tap into this space whenever you need it.

Your heart center,

The essence of who you are.

May you and your loved ones and all beings be safe and free and protected from inner and outer harm.

May you be happy and contented.

May you be healthy and whole.

May you experience ease of well-being.

May all beings be happy.

May all beings be at peace.

May all beings be in touch with their hearts.

May all beings be free.

May all beings be free.
