Today we will spend the next minutes reconnecting with ourselves and the present moment.
Grounding helps us to center our energy,
Calm our minds and feel more stable and secure.
Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
Inhaling deeply through your nose,
Holding for a moment and then exhaling slowly through your mouth.
Let's begin by bringing our attention to the breath.
Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing without trying to change it.
Feel the air as it enters your nostrils,
Flows down into your lungs and then flows out again.
As you breathe in,
Imagine drawing in calm,
Peaceful energy.
As you breathe out,
Imagine releasing any tension or stress you may be holding.
Continue to focus on your breath,
Allowing it to bring you deeper into a state of relaxation.
Now we will move through a body scan to help ground ourselves further.
Starting at the top of your head,
Bring your awareness to your scalp.
Notice any sensation there and if you find any tension,
Imagine it melting away.
Slowly move your attention down to your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your cheek,
And your jaw.
Continue to release any tension you find.
Move your focus down to your neck and shoulders,
Letting them relax and drop away from your ears.
Continue to focus on your breath.
Move down to your arms,
Your hands,
And your fingers,
Releasing any tightness.
Now bring your awareness to your chest and your belly.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath and let go of any tightness or discomfort.
Move your focus down to your hips,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
And your shoulders.
Feel the rise and fall of your breath and let go of any tightness or discomfort.
Your calves,
And finally your feet.
Feel your connection to the ground,
Imagining roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the earth,
Anchoring you firmly in place.
With your body now fully relaxed,
Imagine yourself in a peaceful,
Natural setting.
It could be a forest,
A beach,
Or any place where you feel at peace and grounded.
Visualize yourself standing or sitting in this place,
Feeling the earth beneath you.
Imagine the sights,
Sounds,
And smells around you.
Take in the details of this place,
Allowing your mind to wander in peace and tranquility.
Allow yourself to feel fully immersed in this calming environment.
Feel the energy of the earth rising up through your roots,
Filling your body with a sense of stability and peace.
Allow yourself to soak in this grounding energy,
Interconnected and centered with each breath.
Now,
Let's repeat some grounding affirmation to reinforce this state of balance and stability.
You can say this silently in your mind or out loud.
