Welcome,
Love.
This is a space for those of us who've ever been told or silently believed that we are too much,
Too sensitive,
Too emotional,
Too intense.
This meditation is a soft place to land,
A remembering.
You are not too much.
You are deeply attuned.
And in this moment,
You are safe to be exactly as you are.
So if you'd like,
Find a position that feels supportive,
Whether lying down,
Seated,
Or even curled in your favorite chair.
Let this be a posture of belonging.
Your body belongs.
Your heart belongs.
Your bigness belongs.
Take a moment now to gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
And together,
Let's begin.
Start by noticing the breath without changing it.
Let it move just as it wants to move,
Like a tide arriving and departing from the shore of your body.
Now,
Bring a hand to your chest or belly or both.
Feel the quiet rhythm underneath your palm.
This is your life,
Your tenderness,
Your heartbeat saying,
I am here.
Let the breath drop lower now,
As if it's exhaling into the hips.
Imagine the inhale as a soft expansion and the exhale as a long,
Slow sigh,
Like your whole system is whispering,
Finally,
I get to rest.
Let's do that together now.
Inhale,
Expanding gently.
Exhale,
Sighing it out.
Letting go.
One more time,
But even slower.
Inhale.
Exhale longer than the breath before.
Begin to scan your body from the inside out,
From the crown of your head,
Down behind your eyes,
Softening the jaw,
The tongue,
The throat.
Let your throat know it no longer needs to hold in what wanted to be said.
You don't have to shrink to be loved.
You don't have to swallow your knowing.
Now feel into your shoulders,
Let them drop just a little.
Inhale,
Release what isn't yours to carry.
Soften the armor that's formed from being misunderstood.
Let your arms rest,
Your hands unclench.
You are not too much for your own arms to hold.
Bring awareness now to your heart.
You don't need to explain your tenderness.
You don't need to apologize for caring deeply.
Let your heart expand,
Just a breath wider.
And in your belly,
If there's tightness or swirling,
Just notice it.
Place a hand there if it helps.
This is where your truth lives.
Even if others couldn't hold it,
That doesn't mean it was wrong.
It was real.
It was yours.
It still is.
Let your pelvis,
Hips and legs be heavy.
Let the earth hold the weight of your brilliance.
There is nothing you need to fix.
Just be here.
Now gently repeat in your mind or out loud.
I am not too much.
I am perfectly attuned to what is real.
My sensitivity is not of law.
It is a compass.
I no longer contort myself to be palatable.
I take up space as an act of love.
There is nothing wrong with me.
I belong here.
Soft,
Wild,
Whole.
Take a breath.
Feel those words settle into your skin.
Into your fascia.
Into your bones.
Like rain soaking the roots of who you truly are.
As we come to the end of this time together,
Take a moment to thank yourself for showing up.
This moment is a reclaiming.
A remembering.
You are not too much.
You are perhaps exactly what this world needs.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Feel yourself returning.
And as you open your eyes or come back to the room,
Bring this truth with you.
You are not here to be smaller.
You are here to be free.
Whenever you forget,
Come back here.
I'll be here waiting.
You are never alone in your bigness.
You belong.
