Hi Love,
I'm Teresa,
And this meditation is for anyone who feels guilt or hesitation around wanting comfort,
Ease,
Or beauty.
Let's soften that story together.
Let's begin by settling into stillness,
Letting your breath flow naturally,
And softening your gaze or closing your eyes if that feels comfortable.
And just notice what happens in your body when you hear the word comfort.
Is there a softening,
A tightening,
A quiet longing?
There is nothing wrong with wanting comfort.
Comfort is how the nervous system repairs itself.
Bring one hand to your chest and one to your belly if that feels okay.
Take a slow inhale and exhale gently and say inside,
I am allowed to want comfort.
Let the words move downward through your body.
Comfort is not weakness,
It is regulation,
It is wisdom.
And as you breathe,
Imagine warmth spreading through your chest and shoulders,
Like a soft blanket settling in place.
Let your jaw unclench,
Let your tongue rest.
Take one final breath in,
And as you exhale,
Allow your weight to drop,
As if you are being held from beneath.
You don't have to justify your needs here.
Thank you for allowing this moment of comfort.
May you carry this permission with you into the rest of your day,
And remember as always,
You are loved,
You are whole,
And you are enough.
