Let Mother Earth Breathe For You

Connect with Mother Earth and all breathing beings through this beautiful visualization and breath meditation. Allow this time of connection to remind you that you are not alone and that your very breath gives life to the beings that provide life in return.

Welcome to holistic joy. My name is Tara Van Dam. Today, I invite you to experience the connection between you and Mother Earth with every breath you take. If you are able, Perhaps step outside so that you are able to physically connect with the world around you. If you are not able to go outside for this meditation, No problem. Stay where you are where you're comfortable. Begin by closing your eyes or allowing them to take a soft, Undistracted gaze. And just start breathing. Breathing a little deeper than you have all day so far. Just allowing yourself with every breath in to become a little bit more aware of how you're feeling, Not just today, But in this moment now. And as you exhale, Allowing yourself to soften, To release what might be lingering that will not serve you during this time. Feel your shoulders soften. Feel the muscles in your face calm, Soothe. Allow yourself to feel grounded, So that you notice every part of your body that is connected with a solid surface. Where does your breath come from? The air that you are breathing in, What is its source? Every breath that you breathe, Mother Earth has given to you. The plants, The trees, The bushes and flowers. They have provided this air that you are breathing in to nourish and sustain your body, Your life. There is no breath that you take, No air that you inhale that has not first been breathed out by the natural world around you. As you breathe in, Visualize where that air is coming from. Every tree, Plant and bush are sharing their breath with you. Filling the space around you with the air that will fill and warm your lungs. The air that you breathe is not your own. It is lovingly being gifted to you. Feel the light, The love, The generosity of the air as you welcome it into your body. As you breathe in the air, Imagine that with that air comes small parts of the tree from whence it came, Entering your being and becoming a part of you. Just as this air is being shared by Mother Earth with you, So it is being shared with every breathing sentient being around you. Mother Earth is breathing you. Mother Earth is breathing your neighbour. Mother Earth is breathing every being in every part of the world. And as the air comes in, A beautiful gift from the world around you, So you are giving back to that same world. The air you breathe out is nourishing those same plants that nourished you. You are breathing Mother Earth. We do not stand alone on this planet. We are not isolated, Independent. We are a part of every living thing through the very breath that gives us life and the very breath that gives them their life. Without our breath, We cannot live. We are breathing one another. We are intimately connected every moment of every day that we walk this planet. Mother Earth needs you as you need Mother Earth. Let her breathe for you and offer up your breath back to her. Stay in this beautiful, Blissful connection between you and the world around you for as long as you like. And as you feel ready, Start to open your eyes and welcome in the light and the glow of our world.
