Welcome to this yoga nidra practice.

Start by lying down comfortably.

You can sit as well.

But just make sure that you have enough cushions to support the body,

Pillows,

And a lovely blanket to help you keep warm.

Now when you get ready,

Gently close the eyes.

Take a deep breath in,

And exhale with the mouth with a little sigh.

And then invite yourself to get ready for this practice.

Start by invite for the awareness to arrive in the body.

Know that the body is being supported by the floor or the bed or the sofa from below.

If you have any cushions or pillows supporting underneath the knees or the head,

Knowing that the body is received by them.

Feel the gentle weight of the blanket wrapping around the body.

Imagine that yourself is lying on the laps of Mother Earth.

With the next exhale,

Allow yourself to surrender a little more.

Feel the points of contact with the floor or the bed or the sofa.

And feel that your body weight is transferring to the earth through those points of contacts.

And know that in yoga nidra practice,

There is absolutely nothing that you need to do.

There is nowhere to go,

No one to please,

There is no deadlines.

So there is nothing that you can do that is wrong.

And simply be here is enough.

And now start to invite the awareness to the breath.

Just observe how the breath is coming in and going out through the nostrils.

Start to invite yourself to breathe in the most natural and comfortable way.

Welcome every inhale and exhale.

Start by observing that with every rhythmic cycle of the breath,

You can see an inhale and exhale forming a whole circle.

You can start noticing how slow or fast the breathing is.

Start to feel the length of the inhale versus the exhale.

And once your breath has arrived in a comfortable,

Rhythmic pace,

Start to notice that at the end of the inhale,

There is a little pause,

Following by an exhale,

Leading to another pause.

So know that actually in the circle of the breath,

There are four parts.

That's the inhale,

A pause at the top of the breath,

Followed by exhale and a pause at the end.

And I invite you to observe the four paths of the breath.

Begin to notice that you might be able to stay in the pause a little bit longer,

So that each pause actually has a place of its own.

And my next invitation is for you to follow the journey of the breath inside the body.

Notice the where the breath flows in the body,

Where you can feel it.

Can you feel it in the chest?

And can you feel it in the belly?

As we breath,

Our body actually inflates like a balloon,

So that the movement is an expansion,

Moving towards all the different directions.

So that the inhale,

You should feel it in the belly,

But also feeling it to the side.

You can feel the lower back expanding,

Reaching up to the rib cage and exhale.

Everything rests back to the core.

So follow the movement of the body with the rhythmic cycle of the breath.

So as the body starts to become still and the body becomes more relaxed and quiet,

You might be able to start to feel other movements in the body,

Like the heartbeat and the blood flow and the pulses.

Feel the heartbeat,

The rhythm of that,

And feel the rhythm of the breath.

Know that they might be two different rhythms flowing inside the body at the same time.

This yoga nidra helps to connect with your energetic body and restore any imbalance.

Many energetic channels run through our body.

The different vibration of these energy channels form peaks and troughs,

With the peaks being the strongest points.

And I invite you to start to visit the peaks and troughs of your inner landscape and place an intention of acceptance and love at each point.

Gently rest the awareness in the eyebrow center.

Feel the breath flowing towards the point as you're placing awareness there.

And plant a little seed of acceptance and love for yourself.

Moving down to the end of the throat where there is a little dip between the collarbones.

Welcome any sensations there.

Feel the breath flowing through the point and then planting a little seed of acceptance and love.

And then we're moving to the right shoulder,

Doing exactly the same thing here.

Feel the breath flowing through the point,

Welcoming anything that may arise,

Any sensations.

And tell yourself that I place a seed of acceptance and love.

Moving down to the elbow,

Wrist,

The right hand thumb,

Point of the thumb and the tip of the index finger,

Tip of the middle finger,

Ring finger and little finger.

Moving back through the wrist,

Elbow,

Shoulder,

Back to the little dip between the collarbones,

Moving across to the left shoulder.

Feel the breath flowing towards there,

Planting a little seed of acceptance and love.

Moving down to the elbow,

Wrist,

Tip of the left hand thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger and little finger.

Moving back through the wrist,

Elbow,

Shoulder,

Back to the little dip between the collarbones.

Slowly pouring awareness down into the heart space.

Feel the heartbeat,

The pulsations there.

Feel the breath flowing through the space with warmth and love and acceptance.

Flowing down to the navel,

Resting the breath there with acceptance and love.

Going down to the pubic bone,

Moving across to the right hip,

Down to the knee,

The ankle,

Five toes and the tip,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Moving back through the ankle,

Knee,

Hip,

Pubic bone,

Across to the left,

Hip,

Knee,

Ankle,

Five toes,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Moving the same way back through the ankle,

Knee,

Hip,

Pubic bone,

Navel,

Heart centre,

Throat,

Third eye.

Wherever the awareness have travelled,

Have illuminated your inner landscape with a sense of warm and glowing love and acceptance.

Feel the whole of the body illuminated with loving glow.

And I invite you to feel your inner landscape being nourished by your love so that surely the seeds of acceptance and love will grow healthily in the body.

Start to bring the awareness to the sense of hearing.

Notice the sound around you.

What can you hear that is furthest away?

And then can you hear your own heartbeat that is in the centre?

Bring awareness to the sense of touch now and feel the body being supported by the floor,

By the bed.

Notice the points of contact.

And feel the quality of the air in the room.

So bring awareness to the closed eyelids,

To the sense of sight.

And notice what you can see behind the closed eyelids.

Maybe some random colours and shapes.

Or it could be a little dream that you encounter in the nidra state.

Or it could be nothing and that's perfectly fine.

Feel the tongue inside the mouth.

Feel the moisture and see if you could pick up a taste.

So and finally I invite you to bring awareness to the sense of smell.

Start by deepening the breath.

What can you smell in the room?

Through the process of awakening the smell,

We slowly start to deepen the breath and invite for more air in the body so we can feel more spacious.

We can feel more energetic.

So we start to invite for some movement in the fingers and toes.

Take your time to invite for movement in the wrists and ankles.

Start to invite the body slowly come back to wakefulness.

Wide awake,

Wide awake.

Slowly rock the head from side to side.

Don't be in a rush to open the eyes.

Know that the yoga nidra practice is complete.

The yoga nidra practice is complete.

Thank you very much for listening.
